I'm just wondering, if I want to send a package to someone without having that person know where I live. Can I send the package without putting a return address on it?? And JUST put my name on it or something?? Or will they think it's a suspicious package or something and then not ship it at all?? :eek:

you can do that but it the package cant be delivered for some reason then it will be thrown out cause they cant send it back to you.

your local post office will stamp the name of the county close to you in 0rder to process the package. You should at least put your name on it. Even your handle would be good.

But anyway I was just gonna settle for my name, but when I got to the PO, they told me that they wouldn't ship it without a return address, and that I can try putting some stamps and dumping it in the mailbox if I wanted to. However, it might be delayed 'cause if they saw that it didn't have a return address, then they would open my package and yaddie yaddie yah 'cause it'll be suspicious. And there was NO way I was gonna have them open my package-- after spending SO much time packaging it and all that. But I'm wondering, can't they just x-ray it or something?? Sheesh!! So, finally I gave in and put the address of some resturant uptown, ROTFL! I'm so bad, I know. :D

Why don't you want the person to know where you live? But I guess that's your business. There should be no problem but I think that it would be polite thing to do for the other person in case something goes wrong.

I often send stuff w/o putting my return address..... They say thats not good doing because if there is a problem delivering it,you wont ever know..........
