As you all know, in the first episode the Huxtables have a different house, and I made some observations.

In the first scene, the children and Clair are in the kitchen, the kitchen that will be used for all following episodes.

Now, clearly in this scene, the dining room doors are open and you can see the LATER dining room.

Also, in the part where Cliff walks in, you can catch a glimpse of the later living room as well.


So technically, this is the later set, and basically, the later house.

Now, after the hospital scene, the Huxtables have a different living room and dining room. But we could all see a different living room and dining room in the first scene!

This puzzles me, because everyone said that their house was different because of a low budget. Well I don't get how they could be using the later house and the apartment-like house in the same episode...
