I, personally, favor Shirley Manson. Garbage has always been a great band in my book, and I think Shirley is exceptional.

Who's your favorite? Least favorite?

I normally don't like female singers. I don't know why but something always bugged me, but recently I really like some female fronted bands.

Sleater- Kinney = Corin Tucker/Carrie Brownstein/Janet Weiss
Rilo Kiley = Jenny Lewis
Rainer Maria = Caithlin De Marrais
Pretty Girls Make Graves = Andrea Zollo

omg, I love Shirley Manson, I think she's great.

I also really like:

Amy Lee of Evanescence, she's just so talented, I'm jealous
Cristina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil, she's great also.

I've always liked female singers more, I think some guy bands really have a a lot more voice similarity then chick bands do, and I find it easier to sing along with girls. I'll haveta keep track of who you guys post, I'm always looking for a great new band.

Oh, I also really like Bif Naked.

I like some music by Sheryl Crow, Alannah Myles and Alanis Morrissette, but I don't have one favorite rock singer.

Amy Lee, definitely. I also love the punk rock girl band the Devotchkas, although they aren't well-known.

I am not too familiar with the latest singers(I'm stuck in the 70's/80's) But I DO like Sheryl Crow.:) She would have fit right in in the 70's I think!:D
