TheHappyBurgerMeister 08-03-2004, 09:16 PM Yeah, I think that would be cool! I've actually thought about this before several times. Like it would be at some convention center and whoever comes would wear nametags with their real names and sn's on them. Then like most of the TV shows would each have a table set up and the mods for those would be at the table with stuff. Then the chit chat would have tables and just activities and lots of food! I've thought about A LOT of things actually! We all really have no reason to get together in a HUGE group for anything unless we do it. *hint hint TJ* ;) Dutabi84 08-03-2004, 09:20 PM Originally posted by Georgia's on my Mind I will be crowned Miss America. Question is - where would the location be? Maybe there can be three locations - one on the west coast, middle part of the States, and one on the east coast. I wouldn't mind going once I got to know a little more people. I am already getting used to names and personalities. I only began talk-talking with one person here, and that is a start. The theme of the convention sounds cute - and hilarious! ;) Would it only be one day? It could maybe be a few days or a week or something. Not only can it just be like a meeting but can also be touring and sight-seeing a chosen city. I've been to two online-real life gatherings, and they've worked out pretty well. The way I see it is the more people attend, the harder it gets to actually "hang out" with everyone. Don't feel bad if you don't get a chance to hang out with everyone. It's much more difficult in doing so than online threads. If anyone wants any gathering ideas, just ask. I can do my best to help since I've been to two of them. ;) Cactus Jack 08-06-2005, 08:27 PM Sitcoms Online Convention Schedule - Day 1 Welcome Breakfast - Opening remarks from Convention Chairman followed by a breakfast buffet, special appearance by the guy who played Beau on "Welcome Back Kotter." 10:00 AM Lecture - "Good Times Is Not A Spinoff" hosted by TV Show Analyzer 11:00 AM - Preliminary Judging of the best impression of Dick Van Dyke falling over the ottoman contest. 12:00PM Brunch - Complimentary mojitos will be served during the special screening of the "Boy Meets World" episode where Fred Savage's brother and that Topanga chick finally do it. 2:15 PM - Signature Symposium - Sitcoms Online's very own TJ will give a discussion for the last freaking time about what you can and cannot put in your damn signatures! 3:41 PM - Open panel discussion - What's so Raven about "That's So Raven." 4:18 PM - Shirts Vs. It would be nice to attend all three, but would they be during three different months of the year or just summer? *scrapes money up* A couple of things to discuss would also be sleep locations. Hostels are a great way and can often have cheaper group rates. They are very dorm-like and would be convenient to gather everyone together when doing group activities (sight-seeing, going to amusement parks, visiting CD/movie stores, etc).
