hates it when in the summer people constantly ask you "Are you excited for school?" or remind you of how little time you have left before school starts again? Ugh today someone asked me that and I simply responded by "I don't want to talk about school in August" as politely as I could. Once my friend asked me "Are you excited for school?" and I said "I don't want to talk about it in July". Then he said "Who would?" and my other friend came over and she said "Apparently you would".

So how do you feel in the summer when people remind you of school the next year?

I don't mind it gives me something to talk about when my grandma visits and I have to make small talk with her.

I don't mind when people ask "Are you excited for school" but "Summer's almost over, school's coming up soon" just makes me feel like the summer was really short and I don't like it. But then again it depends also who's asking me about school.

When people mention school to me during the summer, I'd like to stab them. Put it that way.

I actually don't mind people asking me if I am excited. The only thing that annoy me is when my great-grandmother asks me everyday when I start school and everyday I tell her that I start on August 16th.

What I hate about it is that summer is a time to get away from school and all thoughts of it. It kills it when people constantly ask about school because it makes summer seem shorter.

Ain't that the truth.

A sign school's coming up for me is that I can't stay up to watch Three's Company.

Ugh, I hate that so much. Every time we have a party at my house, every single member of my family asks if I'm excited for high school. Sure, I'm excited...and nervous...but I don't need to be constantly reminded of my September adventure all through my vacation.

Even though I do very little with my summers, I still don't like to be reminded that starting September I'm back in uniform, with an annoying blazer that smells like wet dog whenever it rains!

It always seems to be grandparents and older family members that asked "Excited to be going back" with a sarcastic, ironic undertone, as if they're secretly mocking you,"Ha ha, you have to go to school. I'm old and get a pension and get discounts on everything. Isn't life sweet- hahahahaaha!"!.

What I hate more are the giant 'Back To School Sale' billboards the stores put up.

It's like thinking about your job while on your vacation. Summer is almost like a vacation from school and if you are frequently reminded of school it's not a vacation.

Honestly, I don't mind going back to school. The only thing I'm worried about is how I'm going to finish all my summer reading crap in 14 days.

I never had to do summer reading when I was in school, either. It shocked me when I found out other schools ACTUALLY make students do that.

Bleh. I start school a week and a day after my birthday. I'm already going to have to start going to bed earlier. :(

We get a new teacher every year too. But last year our english teacher for this year came in and gave us all this stuff to do.

I used to get excited for school until I realized there is nothing to get excited about. It's not like I have any real friends that I am looking forward to meet. The only thing that I like is shopping for school supplies. ( yes I know that is weird)

If they're gonna do that, might as well have year-round school. Very little difference.

We have to copy 6 passages and find the literary devices used and write why it's important and a bunch of other crap.

Me neither. Yesterday my friend saw the boy she liked walking down the street when the traffic was backed up and he was right next to her car. She ducked down and turned the other way so he wouldn't see her. Oh, and school starts September 8th for me.

When my grandmother used to drive me to school I was thinking about how easy off she had it, watching me walk in, yet she didn't have to go to school anymore. Ahhh, one of the reasons it's fun to be old!:)
