Hi all!
As you know, we've been trying desperately to get TVLand to do something in recognition of Chico's 30th anniversary this year. Try as we might though, we've had very little success and now there's another slight problem. It seems that our bringing up Chico has brought out at least one critic who, unfortunately, is very critical of Freddie and his death. So sad that some people can't seem to see past that fact, but at any rate, I come here not to ask you to attack this person. NO, rather I think we should try to post the positive reason the show and Freddie need to be remembered. If you could please, drop by the TVLand Programming Suggestions board and help us to, hopefully, bring the positive back into why we want this show on again. Thank you!

The show was a wonderful show & very funny. Chico & Ed & Louie & Mando were all funny as well as Della & the characters all had a wonderful relationship. It was just a great show...

I posted a reply, i was kind, i hope.
but more important than sticking up for Freddie on that board is that we all post and post often, maybe a new thread each time to let them know we are serious.
and if you are browsing some of the other topics and see where a plug for CATM may fit in put one there, the more we make ourselves known over there the better.
thank you everyone

That's exactly the kind of message we need over on the TVLand boards and like Ms Angie we need plenty of them. PLease everyone, PLEASE Head over to the TVLand Message board....preferably the PROGRAMMING SUGGESTIONS board and post all the POSITIVE REASONS Chico AND Freddie need and should be remembered. All of your help just might make the difference. Thank you!:D

Hello all,

I posted at TVLand. Does anyone else have a problem with logging into TVLand? Whenever I try and use my id, and use my password, it always says it's not right. I have three accounts on there now! This last post, I had to reregister again. My user name is Kelev for this last post.

Does anyone at tvland read these? I wonder. I think I made a valid point, that having catm would increase their viewer base, which is what they would want. what more do they need, a showt hat was red hot in the 70's a son of the red hot main actor is now famous, which would bring in more fans, why on earth would they not put catm on?

That question is what leads me to believe there is something stopping them. Seriously, I know I sound biased, being a major freddie prinze fan, but who in their right mind would not want to rerun *the* most popular show in the early 70's unless there was something stopping them.

Any ideas if there could be anything stopping them?

Looking forward to your input.

Sandra

The critic returns. He has been at it at belittling and such the very few people that are posting over at the TVLand board. No one has really answered him, but it hasn't really slowed him down. Some people!

At any rate, we only have about a hand full of people posting and the topic keeps getting pushed further and further back. We need your help! We haven't had success with the DVD so far, but we just have to band together to get some sort of recognition for the 30th anniversary.

You have a point there, but now that I've been reading some of his posts, I think someone in his own life did this and he can't forgive them because he feels like they left him behind. I'm not sure if that's the case or not, but I get this feeling and that's why he's gotten so angry and he takes it out on anyone who died by their own hand. He won't get over this until he learns to forgive them, but I don't see that happening any time soon with the attitude he's got.
Now, he's called me out personally. I answered him because he got to me. I shouldn't have even acknowledged it I know, but I had enough of his personal attacks. Just please post around him and show him that there are people out here that enjoy the show.

I agree with you Dani. There is something in this person's life that is troubling them.

I read the messages everyone posted on that tv-land site and this guy really aggrevated me! I usually don't get this upset over things like that but when anyone talks negatively about Freddie and CATM I can turn into a real mean person. I tried to keep my cool but the more I wrote and the more he wrote back, the MADDER I got. There is no "reasoning" with this jerk so I guess the best thing to do is to totally IGNORE him. Perhaps if we keep posting how much CATM and Freddie means to us and how we want some type of recognition for him and at the same time just act like we're not reading his remarks, maybe he'll go away. What else can we do????? I'm so sorry you ladies have to go through all of that! We shouldn't have to defend Freddie like that but if we, his fans don't do it, then who will???

Well ladies I am sorry now that I'm the one that start this. It was never my intention for this to happen, I only wanted to celebrate an anniversary. I have tried and tried to explain that but it's a hopless case and I am so sorry. I personally think that there is much more to this guy than we're seeing, but he will not give up and I for one have no energy to fight this out. I just wanted to come here and formally apologize for getting you all involved. I am truly sorry.

Dani - You didn't know, I didn't know, We all didn't know that something is terribly wrong with that person. That person is bashing other sitcoms. We did it for one of our favorite shows to be back on the TVLand time slot. Freddie is not here to defend himself but if he saw what we did he would be mighty proud of us!

No need to apologize. You stood up for our Frederico. If it weren't for us no one would remember him so thanks for standing up for him... :)

Dani, there's absolutely no need to apologize! I don't know what that person's problem is, but he definitely has one.

Well ladies and gentlemen, I have for all you devoted Freddie fans a new website honoring Freddie and his comedy career. It is something I have been thinking of doing for quite a long time. Devoting a website only to our Freddie. I am still adding new stuff on there and am looking into more information on his career. Check it out. I hope you will all enjoy it! Well thank you for the encouragement ladies. I do feel terribly guilty, even though I know I was trying to do something positive and someone else turned it so very negative. Still, I want to let you know I appreciate your kind words. :bighug:

Dani, it is just one of those things that happen because we live in America.... people have the freedom to express themselves, even when they are being total jerks about it. Oh well, you keep on expressing yourself too.... don't let this jerk take away your freedom of expression!patriot:

;)

I believe "you know who" has finally been silenced! He must think he got the last word in. I have to admit that his last post was a little bit more mellow so that's why I haven't felt like posting anymore.
I agree with Lucky with what she said earlier about people today and their opinions. Unfortunately we're not going to be able to pursuade everyone about how wonderful Freddie Prinze is/was and how he should still be remembered. We'll just have to be content in expressing our own opinions and letting it go at that. I'm proud of our little group of Freddie fans here and everything you all do to keep his memory clean and alive.
GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!!!!!
