View Full Version : Wings stays on N@N! webteen 08-02-2004, 06:23 AM EDIT: Finally it let me edit this.. Read the post below. webteen 08-02-2004, 06:49 AM Wrong news! Sorry for double posting but it won't lemme edit my post.. READ THESE SCHEDULES! Starting Saturday, August 14th, 2004 click here (http://www.classictvhits.com/schedules/nickatnite/2004/aug14.htm) Starting Saturday, September 17th, 2004 click here (http://www.classictvhits.com/schedules/nickatnite/2004/sep17.htm) Those are the upcoming schedules. You'll notice that wings starts out playing 9 times a week in august. But it starts playing 14 times a week in the 2nd schedule. This must mean ratings went up for morning viewers. GOOD NEWS FOR WINGS: The cosby show goes from 3-4 times a night, to 2 times a night. Although Cheers is good, it will no longer be on N@N. Who's the Boss will not play on weekends. Wings goes from 9 times a week to 14. BAD NEWS FOR WINGS Wings will air in a morning timeslot, but atleast it still airs. Roseanne will play 4 times a night. Fresh Prince will play 3-4 times a night. Full house will play 2-4 times a night. GREAT NEWS FOR WINGS Within the next two schedules they plan to play most the episodes we usually miss like the series Finale and some holiday episodes. Wings is the most steady schedule on nick at nite. The cosby show used to be and look how long it lasted. So wings will be here for a while. WINGS NEWS FROM N@N & NBC Wings was considering an underrated show because of the rumors spread about it being bad after it started playing very late in the night. The truth is, Wings is like a close Friends or Frasier. Which is good considering most ppl like those shows. Wings Cast The cast is doing well for themselves nowadays and could be up for some Emmys. Tony Shaloub with Monk, Tim Daly with Eyes in the fall, Stephen Weber with theater, Crystal Bernard with singing... Chocoholic 08-02-2004, 01:40 PM That's coiol that it's staying on N@N for now. I just wish they'd show it a little earlier. I hope they have another marathon soon. HelenandJoe213 08-02-2004, 07:35 PM I'm taping every single episode of Wings I can. I wll stay up late on school nights to record, actually I'll probably set my alarm, press record at thie time and go back to sleep, then record over the unwanted shows with Wings. I want the show on DVD badly. spunkygirl 08-03-2004, 07:16 PM Yeah Who's the Boss? Has limited airplay on N@N cause of the Program Exchange, N@N leases the show from TPE, and are only allowed to air WTB? 10X a week, that's why it won't be on weekends. I thought Pavanbadal said that The Fresh Prince would be on like 6 times a day. I know it's gonna be their most overplayed show. The Cosby show was cut back because after so many years they are only allowed to air each episode and season so many times. I think Wings does do well in it's timeslot, considering how they've treated it, it's great. Although I've got a bad feeling they might drop it when they pick up Murphy Brown :( spunkygirl 08-03-2004, 07:20 PM Originally posted by webteen Wrong news! Where did you get that from? Cosby does great ratings, but they have to cut back on the airplay cause it's been on their network for 2 1/2 years, and after so long, they have to cut back on airplay cause they can only show each season so many times. Chocoholic 08-04-2004, 12:28 PM Originally posted by Angela Micelli Although I've got a bad feeling they might drop it when they pick up Murphy Brown :( I loved Murphy Brown when it was on the air, but for some reason, I just can't watch in syndication. Same with Mad About You. I hear Murphy Brown does awful in syndication anyway. spunkygirl 08-04-2004, 12:42 PM Originally posted by Sideshow Kristen I loved Murphy Brown when it was on the air, but for some reason, I just can't watch in syndication. I bet Murphy Brown gets Wings treatment automatically shoved to a late night timeslot, just so it doesn't affect Who's the Boss? I can live with it :) EmoJoe 08-04-2004, 12:44 PM Originally posted by Angela Micelli Yep it does, some say that it's because Murphy's so abrasive that people can't stand to watch alot of her. Chocoholic 08-04-2004, 12:49 PM I hope you get to watch Wings. It never fails to make you laugh, I can't think of an episode I haven't LMAO at  pilotguy 08-04-2004, 08:28 PM Originally posted by Angela Micelli Yep it does, some say that it's because Murphy's so abrasive that people can't stand to watch a lot of her. Well, you can't blame poor Murphy for her abrasive personality....after all, everybody can't have the smooth charm of Roy Biggins! webteen 08-10-2004, 01:08 PM I'm hoping that was sarcasim. phoebe7165 08-12-2004, 08:58 AM Originally posted by webteen I'm hoping that was sarcasim. I like to think of myself as a "Brian Hackett" type of poster here on the "Wings" message board....just sitting around listening to everyone's conversation and throwing in a one-liner every once in a while! spunkygirl 08-12-2004, 10:53 PM Originally posted by pilotguy Thank you, Phoebe!
