View Full Version : Three's Company Questions
Dobie2 01-10-2001, 05:50 PM 1. Did they ever show Larry's apartment in the show? Did Mr. Furley live in the same apartment that belonged to the Ropers? Did the kids Jack and Janet and etc. always live in the same apartment?
2. I saw an episode where Mrs. Roper has cucumbers on her eyes I think and she wanted to get rid of eye wrinkles or something and does anyone know what this episode was about? I don't remember. Also did Roper, Furley, or the kids ever have a dog or any pets?
3. What state did the characters of the show live in and where was Three's Company filmed?
4. Would you say The Ropers and Mr. Furley were not only landlords to Jack, Janet, Chrissy, Cindy, and Terri but also their friends? I would say so. I know Cindy and Terri came along when Mr. Furley showed up and Jack and Janet knew both landlords and Chrissy only knew Mr. Roper did'nt she and did Cindy only know Mr. Furley?
5. What opening theme is everyone's favorite? When Jack Janet and Chrissy are riding their bicycles and this is in the first seasons episodes right? Or is your favorite opening theme I think this is the second season theme where Jack Janet and Chrissy go to the amusement park? Or the last season of the show's opening theme when Jack, Janet, and Terri are at the zoo? I like the themes where they go to the amusement park and to the zoo.
6. I think The Ropers are kinda like Fred and Ethel Mertz on I love Lucy, Lucy's friends and landlords becuase well becuase The Mertzes can wisecrack each other like The Ropers and well they just kinda remind me of them and who do you think was the funniest and best? The Mertzes or Ropers? They were all wonderful characters and the best but The Ropers may have been just a little funnier and wisecracked each other more than The Mertzes. Sorry this question is a little off topic.
7. If you could have any of the Three's Company characters as your best friends or family memebers who would it be and why and what type of family memeber woiuld you want them as if you choose them as family memebers? Ummmmm I think I'd like all of them as my friends and for family memebers its kinda hard to decide. I think Janet might be a good pick as a mother or Mrs. Roper and Jack, Chrissy, and Larry would be good as a brother and sister, Jack maybe could be a good father or Mr. Roper and Mr. Furley maybe good as an uncle. Cindy and Terri would be good as sisters. If there is any other characters in the show I did'nt mention that you'ed like as friends and or family memebers you can list them.
Thanks to anyone who takes an interest in my questions and to anyone who answers! Long live Three's Company!

Sorry I had the CAPS on, but I needed to so you can see my answers...
callmetootie 04-23-2001, 08:23 AM 1: Larry's apartment was seen many, many times.
2: The episode with the cumcumbers is Good Old Relieable Janet. Mr. Roper had a parakeet.
3: Santa Monica, CA
4: Chrissy knew Mr. Furley for one season I think. The landlords as their friends is a definant. Their relationships grew rapidly throughout the series.
5: The Amusment Park 1979-1982 theme song creduts are my favorites. I love when Lana trips Jack over.
6: Kind of. The Mertzes were a bit cleaner then The Ropers. I mean that by Ethel wasn't a sex-starved maniac.
7: Jack and Janet would be my parents. Chrissy and Cindy would be my cousins. Terri would be my sister. Larry and Lana would be my aunt and uncle. The Ropers would be my grandparents. Mr. Furley would be my great grandfather.

1. I've seen Larry's apartment on a few episodes so far. It looks smaller than the kid's and Roper's apartment.
2. I saw that episode when Mrs. Roper had cucumbers on her eyes. I think it was either on the episode when Jack was looking for a job, or when Janet went to the nude beach protest with Helen.
3. The show took place in Santa Monica, California, but it was filmed in Los Angeles(ABC Studio).
4. The Ropers were good friends with Chrissy, Jack, and Janet. Even though the kids sometimes didn't get along with Stanley, they were still good friends. The kids missed the Ropers a lot when they moved to their new home. Furley was good friends with the kids, and when Cindy and Terri moved in, they were good friends with him. Furley did throw a small wedding reception for Janet and Phillip at his apartment. During the final episode when the kids moved out, Jack, Janet, and Terri hugged Mr. Furley good-bye. He was going to miss the kids a lot. I know that Chrissy knew the Ropers and Furley. Cindy met the Ropers once during The Night of the Ropers episode. But the Ropers weren't too interested in meeting Cindy, especially sweet Mrs. Roper. Everytime Jack introduced Cindy to Mr. Roper, he kept saying, "Who Cares?" Terri had never met the Ropers or Chrissy.
5. I like the theme during the first three seasons. It was funny when Jack was on a bike checking out a girl at the beach, and he fell off. I also liked the scene when Janet's watering plants and pours some on Chrissy while she's tanning on the deck. The Ropers had funny themes too, when Helen accidently throws a dart on Stanley's forehead, Stanley pretends to fall asleep when Helen hops into bed, and when Stanley is looking out the window with his binoculars. It was hilarious when Helen taps him on the shoulders and he's startled. During the 4th and 5th season, the kids and Furley are at a carnival with Lana and Larry. During the 6th, 7th, and 8th seasons, they're at a zoo, only Terri and Cindy are with them. I was kind of mad about the Season 5 theme opening. Even though Suzanne Somers left the show and Jenillee Harrison joined the cast, Suzanne was shown during the credits! Jenillee's name was only listed at the ending credits. It should have been Jenillee's name on the opening credits and not Suzanne's. It didn't make sense when Suzanne's name was on it when she left the show for good. Jenillee was now the main character then(and the new roommate)!
6. I don't watch I Love Lucy that often, but I do think the Ropers are very funny. They are my favorite characters on Three's Company. I disagree that Helen is sex-starved. She just wants her husband to be loving and affectionate to her. I swear, he spends more time spying on the kids and talking to his pet bird than spending time with his wife. But they're funny when they have their little marital disputes.
7. I would love to have Jack, Janet, and Chrissy as my roommates, the Ropers as my landlords, and Larry as my neighbor.
