With the new Fall season starting in the upcoming weeks, which shows do you think will get the pink slips first?

Father Of The Pride has gotten some pretty bad reactions from the folks who have seen advanced screenings. I don't think a cartoon about GC lions fits in with NBC's style, so I think it will be quickly forgotten about.

Father Of The Pride. I think Clubhouse and LAX could surprise. I'm giving those 2 series a try.

Father of the Pride. UPN's CGI animated series didn't even meet UPN's standards! According to Jim will be the new timeslot leader!!!

Quintuplets, Method & Red, North Shore, (FOX's summer crap) will be all gone, too I bet.

Didn't FOX recently give Quintuplets a full season order?

Yes, but if the ratings crash, the full season order will be quickly scrapped.

Toss in another vote for Father of the Pride being the first casuality of the 2004-2005 season.

Actually I think Clubhouse could make it. I hope so, it actually seems like a great show. :)

How about Studio 7 on the WB? The network decided that it would premiere the show early to try and build and audience, but the frist episode drew 1.7 million viewers, the second 2.2 (compared to lead-in "Reba"s 4.1 million). This thing will be gone by August.

Also, Drew Carey's Green Screen is basically Whose Line? rehashed, and viewers have already spoken on that one.

Actually I think the Jury already beat these shows. It was supposed to air in the fall and its already been cancelled :lol:

Without a doubt it's gonna be North Shore. That show s nothing compared to what Melrose Place was. They lied when they said it would be. I hate the setup. It could of had some chance, since the first episode wasn't that bad, but it wasn't that great either.



The show lacks a lot. Plus, who wants to see a surging show all summer, an fall, and winter! I think it's good just in the summer and early fall, but I won't give this show past episode 13. I think the only real plot to bring closure to is that girl with her boyfriend who she is marrying. Why doesn't she dump him and marry her old love. That way closure can happen. Everything else moves too fast, and there are no "real cliffhangers". Why can't FOX get me to write for that show?



But yeah...come September, it's gone. Without a doubt. It won't last past episode 13, since thats the limit for a first season show, and this show had additional script orders only (Big sign it is being cancelled).

The Help was already cancelled this year.My guesses are that it wasn't entertaining or people stopped watching it after what they said about 8SR

That was last season. 2003-2004.

Anyway, add another vote for/against "Father of the Pride".

Marc Berman from Mediaweek says either Father of the Pride or Green Screen. I agree.

i vote for hawaii from what ive seen of the previews it dosent look very good

Im not sure what I think will fail.
But the new show LEAST likely to fail is Joey.

A) Won't completely suck

and

2) Will last the whole season and get renewed

i predict Joey to fail

i have a feeling "father of the pride" or "clubhouse" will do very well, probably clubhouse because it has a few disney kids in it

FOTP will probably be pretty decent but i think people wanted this to fail since day 1

I don't know about that. I agree that Joey will be fine, but that fox's North Shore and NBC's Father of the Pride will fail. But I think there'll be several new fall shows that don't suck. Has anyone seen commercials for that new show on abc with Teri Hatcher? Anything with her in it is going to be good!

I've only heard of 2 of those.

I hope "Clubhouse" doesn't fail, because if it does, Kirsten Storms would probably try to come back to "Days of our Lives," and I wouldn't want that!

Kevin Hill has potential and could last the whole season.

It would be so funny if Joey flopped since NBC put a lot of hype and money into it.

Has "The Big House" been renewed? I hope ABC brings it back, it is good show.

ABC cancelled the "The Big House" along with it's other new comedies "Married to the Kellys", "I'm With Her" and" It's All Relative".

They also cancelled 2 yr, old "Life With Bonnie".

IMO, they were all pretty bland so no biggie.

"The Big House" was canceled? First they canceled "Me and the Boys", now "The Big House." Dam it ABC. At least they didn't cancel "My Wife and Kids."

I haven't heard any good or bad buzz for Father of the Pride. Can someone explain whats the bad buzz?

I'm going back to Studio 7. Last week a new episode drew 1.9 million viewers, a repeat drew just 800,000 viewers on Sunday. It'll be lucky to see September.

Method & Red appears to be dead, although Fox plans on airing it until mid September.

The bad buzz about Father is that it's a cartoon (on NBC, no less) that features the animals of Sigfried and Roy's Vegas show, yes, the animals, one of that just mauled Roy. If that doesn't spell disaster, I don't know what does.

North Shore has actually just been picked up for additional episodes.

All of the UPN's new fall shows have good buzz, especially Kevin Hill, which follows "America's Next Top model." Veronica Mars is kind of iffy, but Missy Eliot's reality show is actually going Wednesdays at 8pm in between editions of "Model."

Personally, there's no current sitcoms that are good since the cancellation of Frasier (although Hope & Faith is mildly enjoyable), and I would love to see all of the new sitcoms cancelled, all the new dramas tossed aside, and especially all of the new reality junk cancelled.

After the olympics, NBC will not be on my lineup at all.

Personally I'm lookiing forward to seeing NBC crash and burn this season. Zucker needs to be bumped off his high horse IMO.


Question though...... just how many new shows made it past the 2003-04 season?

I agree, why does everyone want it to fail so badly? the previews I saw of it showed it might be a cute program

Father of the pride sounds like a goner....what a babyish looking show..........Commando nanny hearing that titles makes me say um lameo and buh bye dude.......The others I never seen......North shore is actually getting better and was picked up......North Shore is a good show IMHO.....Mel :)

Minor Correction.......

According to The Fulton Critic/TV Tome, Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance is actually cancelled. Fox never intended for it to continue.

Oops, I guess I was subconsiously thinking that everybody wanted to forget "Brotherhood." Even with that factored in, CBS still had the best luck with new shows.

As for "Fiance," I could have sworn that Fox was running it again, only with the female taking the place of the male. I guess I was wrong.
