Does anyone have an opinion on why Tony "cheated" on Angela with Kathleen? This episode makes me angry.

Tony "cheated" because he had a weak moment where lust covered the view of love, IMHO. I mean, if Angela had been in the room with him, it would have never happen. It's kind of that saying "out of sight, out of mind." I think that Tony wasn't thinking about how much he loved Angela at that moment (obviously!) I think he was thinking more along the lines of "pretty girl... hotel room... (fill in the blank)"

My thoughts exactly.

I agree Lauren, also Tony and Angela hadn't admitted their love for each other. So to Tony Kathleen was there, and it was convenient(so to speak).

It's kinda like Tony worked out his frustrations on Kathleen :barf:

It irks me to see them together though.

She seems more like a cheap thrill for Tony rather than an actual relationship. Just my two cents though.

I know, but you've got to admit that TA-N is an important episode for T&A's relationship

yes, since angela even says "maybe this is something we have to get through to see if we can go any further" or something along that line.

and it's just like the transcript says at WTBr... "Tony looks down for a few seconds. Then he turns slowly and leans in to kiss Kathleen. They embrace passionately while I start throwing everything I can get a hold on at my TV set"

I agree. This was one of the first episodes I saw, and I could still tell that it was important. I could see the hurt on Angela's face, and I wanted to cry. I wasn't even addicted to their relationship yet, but I sensed that there was something between them.

Yeah you could see Angela's pain, and Tony's struggle. :(

i think it is an important episode, yes, because it really tested their relationship. i mean, without that episode tony would have never known angela's pain of him with another girl. IMHO it really showed me that angela finally felt that tony shouldn't be with anyone else... that they were meant for each other... although "wedding bells" showed that a few years earlier.

It was a very important episode. It still makes me very sad though.:(
