Two questions: The singer who sang the "Kate & Allie' theme song sounds like the man who sang the ad songs for Giant Eagle supermarkets and the current Charmin TV ad. What's his name? Also, in one of the current Geico ads, a man's driving out West with the Geico lizard, and there's a song that sounds a little like Johnny Cash. Does anybody know who the singer is, and the song's title?

Ohio8, I am bumping this, because I need to know who is singing that song in the Geico commercial. I love that song!

Ohio8, the Gecko has had many request about that song from the commercial. Here is his reply from his website:


I know that many of you have seen my newer ads (the one where I am wearing my sunglasses and driving through a tunnel with my buddy), since I’ve received many requests about the music that was used for this ad. Well, the music was courtesy of The Legendary Shakeshakers, and the name of the song is “CB Song”. The CD is available at Barnes & Noble and at Amazon.com.
