does anyone remember the movie THE POSIDEN ADENTURE...about a luxury cruise liner that gets hit by a title wave? It was made in 1972...and i havent watched it since I was a kid but I was up late last night and low and behold..there it was! I forget Jack was even IN that movie...which btw had a hec of a cast..shelley winters, ernest borgnine, o yeah..and gene somebody..i cant think of his last name.
Anyway, thought i would share. :)

Gene Hackman..... good movie. I think Shelley Winters did CATM after she did Poseidon Adventure. I know she and Jack were good friends. BTW a bit of trivia... her character's name on CATM has a special signifigance... ANYONE KNOW WHAT IT IS???


On another movie note, we all know Jack played Grampa Joe in "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" which is based on the book "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", but I didn't know that he reprised his role as Grandpa Joe in a sequel movie "CHARLIE & THE GREAT BALLOON CHASE" (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=4344&item=6312684245&rd=1) . I saw them selling a copy of this movie on eBay!

I saw the Poseiden Adventure when it origionally came out at the theatres but had no idea Jack was in it. I didn't know he was in it until I read it on here quite some time back...

The importance of the name that Shelly used on CATM was that it was her real name...am I right???
