When is that new Partridge Family show going to be on Vh1?
Will it be a sitcom or reality show.?

"In Search of 'The Partridge Family'" is a reality show that features Shirley, Danny, and David as judges in a contest to find a new "Partridge Family" cast. The winners of the contest will then film a sitcom pilot for a new version of "The Partridge Family".

I heard it'll start airing on VH-1 on Sept. 5.

I'd be surprised if a "remake" of such a great show could last. The original show had so many personal/real life touches that created the characters, how could they copy that?

They should just try to create an entirely new show based on contemporary culture.

Or else just bring the old show back in reruns.

I agree. I suffered through the selection process of the new cast members (mainly to see the original old cast again - Danny, David & Shirley) which was bad enough, but the single episode ever aired was as pathetic as I expected it to be.

No great loss if it never comes to be - believe me!

Some things prove that ya just can't go back again!! :(

I agree...............I think that it got ridiculous when they had two of the former characters be gay; come on, there were other ways to be happy than to have two of the same sex get it on. If the producers had stuck with the topics that the original show dealt with, the new show probably would've have been a success.

The only thing I liked about it was seeing David Cassidy and Danny Bonaduce. :lol:

I watched as they picked the cast. I missed the 1st episode of the New Partridge Family. It was on this January.
How long was it? What happened? Who was the surprise actor supposed to play Ruben?
