The Biography Channel is owned by A&E and used to show biographies 24 hours a day. They still show quite a few, but have added other programming in the last year or so that is NOT bigography related. It is still a pretty good channel, though usually only available on Digital Cable or Satellite TV.

In trying to find out more information to follow-up on the news that the A&E FOL Biography is to re-air next week on the Biography Channel, I came across the following. First, the Biography Channel is channel 243 in the L.A. area for those who have digital cable. Now, the listing of the FOL show on tvguide.com came up differently than it did for the A&E airing. I’m not sure it’s the same show (or perhaps it is but it’s being labelled differently for the Biography Channel). This is what it says:

August 10 - “Class of...1979: The Facts of Life” - airing on Biography Channel 7pm and again 11pm (Pacific).

Apparently, The Biography Channel has a series called “Class of” and they cover different years. The one airing August 10 is for 1979 and FOL. We have digital cable on one of our TVs so I want to check it out to see if it’s the same A&E show or a different one.........

It's the same, The Biography Channel just has different titles for their Biographies.

They also gave a brief blurb in People magazine this week on it. So, tape tape tape!!!

Will sombody please tape this for me, I don't get the biography channel. I'm willing to trade or pay.
