This is a tough one for me, 'cause, if the opening of the cartoon is weak, so is the rest of the toon. But after careful deliberation (discounting anything by DIC in the last twenty years), my choice is a fairly decent cartoon...EXCEPT FOR THE @#!*!!&IN' THEME!:

The Godzilla Super-Power Hour.

Produced in the late seventies, this cartoon, while devoid of any real jeapordy, had some pretty decent action scenes nonetheless. Unfortunately, the themesong dooms it to the scrapheap of lameness...

I mean, it starts out pretty decent...

Up from the
depths,

Thirty stories
high,

Breathing fire,

His head in
the skyyy!

Godzilla!

Godzilla!

GOD-ZILLA!!

and then.....

And God-ZOOOOO-ky!

At which point, Godzilla's goofy young nephew stumbles across the screen, ruining a great theme song for all eternity...

However, the writers try to regroup with...

GOD-ZILL-LA-AAAAAAAAAA!!

...but it's too late. What had started out as a bold, driving, mood-setter dissolves into utter mediocrity! And it continues to bug the hell outta me some twenty-five years after the fact!

But that's just me...what are YOUR choices for "Lamest Cartoon Theme Song Of All Time?";)

I love the GOD- ZOOOOO- KEE part. Thats the best part. Im surprised they didn't have puppyzilla, too. You know how all the toons back then had to have a dog follow everyone around.
