Oh, Grow UP- was on ABC around 99 or 2000, lasted only about 7 episodes but loved all of them.

Stark Raving Mad-ran from 98-99 season was pretty good, but was on NBC's Thursday night schedule so didn't last long even with averaging 17 million viewers.

Yep. Same here. Well, probably most dramas. I don't think I'll ever buy a short-lived drama. I mean, maybe if it was a dramadey but not a cop show or anything.

If it is -- very cool, Ive never heard of it. it's what "L & S" was renamed after Cindy Williams left.
I saw the begining of an episode on N@N once. BAD isn't a good enough description for it. AWFUL would be a better description. I remember, I had to turn it off after about 2-3 minutes, it was so bad.

It's not a spin-off, but the Nick@Nite site used to say that they renamed L&S Laverne during its final season. However, in actuality, the final season of L&S still used the title Laverne & Shirley despite the fact that Shirley wasn't on the show anymore.

Van Dyke and Company-Dicks HILARIOUS:lol: variety show from 1975 that only lasted 15 weeks.:( :(

The Mary Tyler Moore Hour-Marys hour-long variety show that was on CBS for one season,1978-79.
She played Mary McKinna, who had a fictional variety show on CBS called "The Mary McKinna show". Like her sitcom it dealt with her life at home & at work. Each week she had 1 or 2 guests who were guests on "The Mary McKinna show" that week and they would always do a sketch or a number at the end of the episode.
I remember, once the guest was Dick Van Dyke and the two of them did a sketch where they played Rob & Laura Petrie as they were then (1978), then had them sometime later when they were both old. It was pretty funny as I remember.
The sketch is one of the extras on one of the sets of "The Dick Van Dyke show". (I think it's season 5)

I watched that show but the one thing I remember was that was the first time I saw Andy Kaufman. All I remember was him singing along to "Here I come to save the day" from Mighty Mouse and "thank you very much" in the Latka voice. If I think of Van Dyke and Company, that's the one thing that stands out in my memory.

I was wondering about that. I taped a L&S episode from 1982 the other day, and it was after Cindy had left...I wondered why they still had the L&S logo when Cindy had since long left.

If I think of Van Dyke and Company, that's the one thing that stands out in my memory. yea, Andy Kaufmann was a regular on it. In the first episode, he and someone else played the 2 finalists in some fictional contest the show was having. He was proclaimed the winner (he was new then, so he was able to get away with this). He was named Mr. Andy", and he pretended to be this dum, foreign comedian and as you watched him, you couldn't help but fee sorry for this guy, and you got the feeling that he was, somehow, "pushed" into show buisness acidentally by someone.
Anyway, his character (he called him just "foreign man"-he later became Latka Gravis on "Taxi"-but not as dumb) somehow misinterpretd the fact that he won this contest, into thinking he was a regular on the show. He would just walk out every week, with no introduction or anything, while someone (ussaully Dick) would be in the middle of a number or something, and everyone would pretend to get really mad at him.
It's one of those things you had to see to know how funny it was.
