The low ratings and lack of critical acclaim weren't what NBC had been hoping for. Given the chance it could have become a good show, I liked it.

i, too am pissed that this show is cancelled.

it was "too before it's time." the writing was sharp and FUNNY.

i sure hope they put out a dvd with lots of extras.

they could have at least re-run the episodes this summer...rat bastards!

..."Before it's time?"...What time is that,exactly? That show was simply "All in the Family" in reverse, 30 years AFTER the fact. The term one may use to describe the, thankfully, defunct "Whoopi" is/was..."a throwback"...a throwback to a time when using racist terms on T.V. was considered contraversial. It still is today, if a white actor mouths the words. Black sitcoms can get away with it, however, a stink bomb is a stink bomb, and "Whoopi" made a whoopsie all over the carpet from the pilot episode on out. R.I.P:wave:
