I don't know why a bunch of people think Mrs. Roper is a sex-starved woman. All she wants is a little affection from Stanley. He hardly pays attention to her. Plus they hardly ever do "you know what". I don't know why they remained married for a long time, but I wouldn't call Mrs. Roper a sex-starved woman.

i luv mrs. roper i don't think she's sex- starved either. i wonder how those two remain married so long and were able to put up with each other with their constant bickering and insults to each other? well that is what makes the ropers funny but i would've liked to have seen stanley pay more attention to helen and be more kind to her. in some episodes like a few i think they got a long a little better then usual i think i saw in a few episodes not sure but i think so.

has anyone seen the episode where stanley and helen guest star and helen gets angry with stanely about something and this episode is where they have already moved to their new house and helen comes back to her old apartment complex and the kids tell her to stay in mr. furley's apartment and then he like comes home and sees her sleeping there or something. i saw this episode before but did'nt get to see the part where furley sees helen in his apartment. can anyone please tell me what happened did furley like helen and did helen end up going back to stanely or what happened?

thanks very much

Thanks Peaches. I'm glad somebody agrees with me. Mrs. Roper is a sweet lady, but you're right that the Ropers' constant bickering and lack of sex drive made them the funniest characters on Three's Company. I was sad when the Ropers moved out of the building and Furley took over. The Ropers have made me laugh, but I kinda wished they got along better.

Oh, I did see the episode when the Ropers were the guest stars. It was called,"Night of the Ropers", and Cindy and Furley was in it. When Furley hops in his bed, he doesn't notice Helen in it. Roper finds the two together and is pissed. Furley and Helen wakes up and are shocked. The kids try to get the Ropers back together. Finally, Stanley and Helen spend the night in Mr. Furley's bedroom(which was their former bedroom) having "you know what", and Furley spends the night in the kids' apartment, sleeping on the couch. That was a funny episode. But I wished Mr. Roper should had done something very special with his wife to celebrate their silver anniversary. He wanted to go to some bowling party! How rude. He should have taken his wife for fancy dinner, a concert, or something. But I still thought the episode was funny.

your welcome and thanks for your reply. yeah the way the ropers would be bickering and all did really make them funny! i liked how norman fell as stanely would laugh in the camera when he insulted helen (audra lindley) as if he was laughing along with the audience and looking at them like he was saying "i'm so funny are'nt i"? when helen would insult stanely i wished she would've looked into the camera too i don't think she did. i wished they got along better too and yeah it was sad when they left but i'm glad mr. furley was there to be funny but of course the ropers were funnier.

thanks for filling me in on the episode night of the ropers it does sound like a great ep. and so everything ends up working out like in all the other episodes right? i agree stanely should've done something nice for helen to celebrate their anniversary. hope this episode is shown soon.

Maybe she was sex-starved due to the fact that Stanley never did pay any attention.

Stanley: I'll take of you later.

Helen: Promises. Promises.

-----------------------------------------

Stanley: Helen. Come to the bedroom, quick!

Helen: (happily running) Oh Stanley, now?

Yeah, I guess so, but she didn't always think about sex.

I agree. There were other times when she just loved to insult Stanley. Didn't you love how Stanley would make a joke and look into the zooming camera?

Oh yeah, the Ropers' insults toward each other were hilarious.

Mrs. Roper always gets mad at Stanley, so I think that she's just trying to rob him out, and steal his trousers.

huh? I think helen only gets mad at stanley when he's being mean to her and why would she want to rob him she's his wife and loves him very much he just does'nt want to pay much attention to her. i'm not sure what you really mean in your post here.

sorry,i did'nt mean it if i sounded mean or offended you andrew or anyone else. i just did'nt understand what you meant about helen always getting mad at stanley and wanting to rob his trousers. i know she does get mad at him but i think its only becuase he insults her and all. it does'nt matter anyway threes company is a good funny show and the ropers are funny and that is what matters.

If Stanley didn't want Helen it was because of her wearing too much makeup and she wore those flowery gigantic dresses that would make anybody dizzy. +++ The hair AAAAGH! He ran the other way. They were funny together though.

I totally disagree! Helen wasn't a bit ugly at all. I thought she was very beautiful woman. Audra Lindley was in her 60's when she was on Three's Company. She looked good for her age. I thought she was around 40 or 50. Helen Roper didn't wear too much make-up. She looked perfect and I thought her long dresses were cute. Her hair was nice too. I think she went a bit overboard on the jewelry, but I thought Helen Roper was the best dresser on Three's Company. Anyway, I plan to dress up as Helen Roper for Halloween this year. I'll have to find a red curly wig, find a long, colorful hippie dress, and wear a bunch of jewelry. Anyway, Helen was pretty and I don't know why Stanley barely paid attention to her. But his lack of sex drive did make the show a hit.
