DAMN, I looooooove All in the Family.

I finished the final disc of The Simpsons Season 4 this morning and I just finished the 5th episode of All in the Family Season 3, first disc...I would have gone on to watch the 6th episode, but "Who's the Boss?" is coming on in 10 minutes and I want to watch that

So...I'll squeeze in the 6th and 7th episodes after WTB and before I come here again and then I'll get in the final episode after I leave here and before I go to bed ;)

EEK!Cold is always bad to me. The worst part of my hike was the fact that it was in a forest, and all the hills we climbed were giant mounds of hot sand, and because I was wearing sandles,Ouch! Plus, the stupid bugs wouldn't STAY AWAY! The best part was when it ended....

*sigh* Brian's thread got me thinking...the main home video I have starts with footage from the summer of 1990 and ends after my grandparents' 50th anniversary celebration in September 1991. We have footage from my family reunion in '91 too...

It makes me happy and sad at the same time...happy because it's a trip down memory lane and sad because both my grandpa and cousin that passed away are both on it. :(

There's footage of my birthday party in 1991...It's VERY hard watching that one because they both had a major part in that one.

Last year I watched a home video that was taken in the mid 1980s. I was in it as a baby and the house was the one my family had before we moved to Rancho Penasquitos. We lived in Tierra Santa before. We moved out because of the lack of space and 5 kids. My two oldest sisters shared a room and my other two sisters and I shared a room. I have never seen the house other than what I've viewed in that home movie.

I watched a home video where I was really little. My family was making Christmas cookies and I was saying stuff that was unintelligible. I spoke nothing but nonsense aside from the word "frosting." In those days speaking nonsense was not unusual for me. I didn't say anything much that people could understand.

Maybe first or second grade. My Autism was at its highest in my formative years. That's when the classic symptoms of the disorder really showed. Nowadays you can look at me and not even know I'm Autistic.

I had a friend in high school whose brother is the same way. The only reason I know he's Autistic is because my friend told me.

Some kids grow out of it. When I got older, I had a lot of therapy and that helped a ton, although it never cured it. Autism is something that can never be cured. Some people, however, can't overcome it as easily as I did.

Yeah, I'm getting tired of TCS being on N@N -- but only because they run that show into the ground, + it can be found on 2 other channels here. I like it, but it needs to stop being aired soooooooo many times every day.

It was not easy at all. I lived through my first, second, and third grade school days in fear because of my principal. Let's just say he was really intimidating, although he was nice to me other times. Third grade was my best elementary school year. My #1 favorite teacher was a jehovahsend. She was the one who could really understand me. I had two other sisters who had her for 3rd grade. In 4th grade the principal moved on to another newly opened elementary school but I had a teacher that my parents hated. She was sort of mean but I've had one that is 1000 times worse. Fifth grade was my second best.

And middle school, don't get me started on that. It was a very rocky road.

Surprisingly N@N is cutting back on TCS. Pav said something about them having to limit airplay.

After so many years, they can only air a show so many times, before they have to cut back. :D

I am so happy that Rhino is releasing a new boxed set. It's only 24 something bucks and has two episodes, but they are ones that are great episodes. One of them, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, hasn't been released on Rhino before.

When TV networks get the rights to a show, there are a set number of times that they can air each episode. I read about it a couple of years ago.

It started out as The Comedy Channel in the late 80s, then went to CTV but they got into a legal dispute with Canada over the name. There was another comedy channel called "Ha!" and they merged with TCC and became Comedy Central around 1991 or 1992.

Comedy Central has been around since 1991. There were two upstart comedy channels that weren't doing very well. One of them was "HA!", which was owned by MTV/Viacom. The other was "The Comedy Channel," which was Time Warner.

So they merged and CTV was created. Less than a year later, it was renamed Comedy Central.

About nine months ago, Viacom bought out the other half of the network and became the sole owner of Comedy Central. Which is why the first two seasons of South Park on DVD were released by Warner, while seasons three and four were released by Paramount.

Now we have nearly 80 analogue channels, hundreds of digital channels, and almost 20 HDTV channels. What a difference twelve years makes.

I started buying widescreen in 1997. When I got my DVD player in 1999, I vowed never to buy a movie unless it was in OAR. I've stuck to it.

Happy Gilmore is one of my favorite movies, but I don't own it, because it's only available in fullscreen. That's going to change in a few months, though.

Use the "search" box to find your titles. Once you find them, toggling the box to the side of a particular DVD should add a check mark. Then scroll down to "owned," and the disc will be added to your collection.

The only DVD collections I'll do are TV shows. My family has quit buying DVDs. We use Netflix. :D It's a lot better than Blockbuster and Hollywood Video. One reason is because they have unrated versions of movies that BB and HV wouldn't have. I'm not saying I want to watch those movies because of the content, that's far from the truth. I like to watch unrated versions of movies because they are uncut and because are shown they way they were meant to be and without any censorship.
