I was just surprised to see the topic started up again. I thought it was over.

I personally think that it would've killed the show. Think about, if they did get married, would you people be obsessing over how perfect they were for each other?

I started this thread so I could post a poll because I wanted to get an idea of what % of the users thought this would have been a good idea. Im more interested in the poll, but I guess you cant post a poll without making a thread first. You're not. I've never gotten what the hoopla is all about...

Jack and Janet are like brother and sister to me, so I've never really wanted to see them get married. To me, Jack and Janet aren't any more compatible than Jack and Chrissy, Jack and Terri, Jack and Cindy, etc.

Personally, I think Stanley and Jack were made for each other. ;) Now that would be an interesting pairing!

I don't see it either, and I don't care how many 'cute' pictures of them together get posted. She acted more like his mother, bossing him around and scolding him. I don't think he'd want to be married to someone like that.

Besides its the producers fault they were so blind and couldn't see that that would have been the best ending to the show!! Even if they didn't got a spin off!:D!

I want to ask because it's been bugging me but the first pic of the collage (1st row, left most side); the one with Jack over Janet on the couch--What episode is that scene from? And what in the world was going on? :confused:

I just can't imagine something innocent from that scene. :lol: :blush:

Sheesh! I feel like Mr. Furley outside of the kitchen listening in on a conversation where Jack telling Janet that he's going to put a big, fat, juicy wiener in her bun and only to find out that Jack is serving Janet lunch.

Jack and Janet had sexual tension so thick it could be cut with a meat cleaver. IHMO, the series had a very unsatisfactory ending. If the writers didn't want Jack and Janet to hook-up they shouldn't have teased the audience repeatedly with the 'will they, won’t they' storylines. Maybe John and Joyce had a natural chemistry that transcended the characters of Jack and Janet and that might've caused the characters to appear closer than they should've been ... who knows?

I just think since the TPTB knew that they were obsessed with copying the British counterpart (A Man About The House) down to releasing carbon copy spin-offs of George and Mildred and Robin's Nest; TPTB should’ve distanced Jack and Janet as the series progressed--or at least had the characters finally 'do-it' since that would've killed off the sexual tension and allowed the audience (especially J/J shippers) to have some sense of satisfaction. From that point onwards, that situation could've allowed the writers to change the characters relationship in any direction they felt like going; either into a committed relationship or breaking up and then allowing Jack and Janet to freely find love elsewhere without the lingering cloud of what could've been hanging over them.

It seems that the series abruptly ended and that it was a very jarring transition of Jack and Janet going their separate ways. IMHO, the sexual tension between J&J simply wasn't properly resolved before ending Three's Company. (I feel that you just gotta put out the campfire before you leave the forest. :D)

This picture is from "The Not-So-Great Imposter" where Jack assumes the identity of a famous chef to get a job. In this scene Jack's new boss calls and tells him the name of a dish that he was to prepare that evening. Earlier Jack had told Janet that he did not need to be reviewing recipes because he had everything in his head. After the phone call he runs to get a book of recipes to lookup the dish he is to prepare. Janet grabs the book and says that he had said he didn't need it! So Jack starts to try and wrestle the recipe book away from Janet and they both wind up on the couch. Shortly thereafter Cindy walks in!
