One of the best I've ever read, and I've read a lot of books.

It is an excelent read & tells how he really is. It does have some sad parts & you'll need a hanky for those. I am so glad his mom wrote the book on him... :)

I would say that gives you a small peek into a window that should never be forgotten. You will see just a few of the different sides of Freddie. ;)

I am reading it for the 5th time, it is a truely wonderful book and you can feel the love of a mother for her son in every word, it's told with honesty and love.

I probably own the most expensive copy of Maria's book "The Freddie Prinze Story" about Freddie. I bought it back on EBay when it was very hard to get. I know I could have waited and paid a lot less for it, but it was worth every penny of the $125 I paid for my copy. I never regretted it.

Maria gives us a glimpse of Freddie, his life, his career and his demons that no other source has given us. I have spent a small fortune on magazine articles as well, and this book and a New Yorker article written by Geraldo Rivera in 1977 I count as the two best things written about Freddie and what caused his death in 1977. Most of the other stuff is either superficial or plain full of lies, especially the movie "Can you hear the Laughter", and the 1977 Playboy article.

...that together cost me about as much as Lucky's one copy LOL! I dunno what possessed me to buy a second one through Amazon.com after winning the first on eBay :crazy: ! If any of you would be interested, I would be very willing to part with the second one for 20 bucks (I paid 25).

mine is probably the 2nd most expensive and well worth that let me tell you

I paid around $12 for mine from an online book search site...

My hubby bought it for me for $50.00. He knew how much I wanted it. And like Luckymama said.... "It was worth every penny".

Keep an eye out on eBay -- I don't think you have to pay that much for it now.

That's true, the total of the book for me was $6.00 on ebay
