Yeah but FOL was on it's last leg, AITF wasn't. So an addition of a new character to a show that had already been on 8 years with sagging ratings was not going to change anything.

AITF was no champ in the last few seasons, and neither was FOL -- they both tried the same thing and FAILED.... only difference is AITF's continuation series worked out, FOL's didnt.

AITF was always in the top 15 after it's first season. And when did FOL have a continuatuion series?

It didnt, that's my point.
AITF's last season wasnt very good at all, and neither was FOL -- because they brought in young kids.... and then they knew the series was at an end so they both tryed continuation series.
Archie Bunker's Place worked out.
The continuation with Blair and Pippa didnt.

HUH?????-LOL AITF was #4 in the seaso before the last one and finished #9 after the last season. SO AITF's addition was to see if the show could move up a little and FOL addition was to save the Show. And what was the name of the FOL continuation with Blair?

I mean, quality wise -- AITF shouldve stopped at Season 8.
And quality wise -- FOL shouldve stopped at Season 8.

The FOL continuation with Blair never panned out, but it was about her running Eastland.

 You didn't like Pippa? I adore Sherrie Austin(Sherrie Krinn) she's a country singer now, she's got a beautiful voice, I own some of her albums.

My list:

Pam (The Cosby Show)

Olivia(The Cosby Show)

Alex (Wings)

Steve(Married with Children) I prefer Jefferson

there's probably more, but I can't think of any

There was just something about Steve that grated on my last nerve, his voice got on my nerves, and he tried too hard to act like Al.

Jefferson was more natural, he didn't try to act like Al, and I think he and Marcie were funnier as a couple than her and Steve.

Plus I adore Ted McGinley ;)

I'll go past season 4, but Chrissy was my favorite, over the top dumbness and all. There were still some good, classic post Chrissy episodes, but Cindy and Terri never really endeared themselves to me. I'd take Lana over those two.

Dawn-Buffy The Vampire Slayer (imagine had Buffy just let Dawn die at the end of season 5, instead of having Buffy die to save her, lol)
Riley-Buffy (at least him and Buffy broke up after a little more than a season)
Pippa-Facts Of Life (completely useless and made the final season the worst)
Cindy-Three's Company (way too Chrissy Jr. but not as funny, thankfully they took a different route with Terri)
Sam-Diff'rent Strokes (the show went downhill so badly when he joined)

Synopsis from USA Today: " THAT'S A FACT: NBC's seemingly unstoppable Facts of Life is still trouncing the competition after nine years, and Saturday concludes a two-part season finale that sets up a spinoff for next season. Lisa Whelchel, who will star in the projected Facts spinoff as the new owner of Eastland Academy. "

Starring along side Lisa Whelchel was then unknown Juliette Lewis (Christmas Vacation, Cape Fear, Natural Born Killers), Seth Green (Buffy The Vampire Slayer tv series, Austin Powers: The Spy who Shagged Me & Goldmember), Mayim Bialik (Blossom), and Meredith Scott Lynn (Legally Blonde, Forces of Nature, Lion King II)

Here's what I dont believe no one noticed...Steve was on the show at the beggining, and Jefferson was added. Therefore, Steve can not be one of your least favorite added characters. I think Steve first made an appearance the first or second episode.

My least favorite added, in no order

Cindy Snow (Three's Company)
