View Full Version : All-Star Family Feud 1978!
Pavan 03-04-2001, 05:24 PM Game Show Network aired the 1 hour special when Three's Company was on All-Star Family Feud!
Also they aired the 1 hour special when The Ropers were on there!
Did anyone else catch it?
factsfanatic 03-04-2001, 10:51 PM My sister saw it, but I missed it. She is 27 and remembers Three's Company from its orginal run. She was the one that got me hooked on it. Hopefully it will be one again, and I can catch it.
Scoobiedoo30 07-07-2007, 01:32 AM I wish I could have seen That episode of Family Feud
janet42 07-09-2007, 12:20 AM I'm sorry I missed that too. It would have been so cool to have seen it. It would have been interesting to see the actors/actresses as themselves instead of in their characters. :)
ikhuri 07-09-2007, 04:32 AM An All Star Family Feud DVD Release is scheduled for Nov. 2007, so maybe it'll include that episode.

During that period, Ritter was worst as himself. He was the kind of actor that couldn't be interviewed seriously. Always kidding, always goofing around, always telling jokes. Jim Carrey was like that a during his "Mask"/"Ace Ventura" time and Robin Williams is still like that today. I find it annoying.
I'm sure he's like that from beginning to end. See his "Dating Game" passage for an example of what I mean (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqyx3Ed7GZw)
JulieSomoski 07-09-2007, 04:30 PM ANd they haven't aired it since? That was 2001, and it's already 6 years later. IT's too bad they couldn't air it again. I'm hoping it'll be on the DVD>
ikhuri 07-10-2007, 12:22 AM It actually aired last on GSN in September 2003, as a tribute to John Ritter.

Scoobiedoo30 07-10-2007, 01:21 AM I hope they bring it back
JulieSomoski 07-11-2007, 05:44 PM They've been airing the same seasons over and over for awhile now. I really wish they'd buy Dawson's last season episodes (It hink it was 1994-1995), cause I haven't seen those since they originally aired almost 13 years ago.
Scoobiedoo30 07-25-2007, 01:01 AM I wish GSN would show All-Star Family Feud Again
Lyverbe 07-25-2007, 07:44 AM There's surely a way to contact the station. They want to show what viewers want to see, but they won't know if you don't tell them.
A little e-mail might make the difference.
Scoobiedoo30 07-25-2007, 12:29 PM what is there e-mail address
Lyverbe 07-26-2007, 07:44 AM From http://www.gsn.com/corporate/, I guess you can mail to distribution@gsn.com or use http://www.gsn.com/help/contact.php using the "Programming" category
Scoobiedoo30 07-26-2007, 12:28 PM thanks for the e-mail address

Thanks for sharing the picture with us. Mr. and Mrs Roper and Larry were good in their poses. Jack was a little goofy sitting indiana style. Was this the part of the scene when they are about to jump up and go to their seats?
Becase Joyce looked liked she was about to leap from her chair. :)

That's right, this is the "Introducing the 3's Company family ... ready for action!!" shot. (And BTW it was spelled "3's" rather than "Three's", not sure why.)
John Ritter looks as though he's levitating... and he did continue to levitate throughout the show, so much the clown that mister Dawson looked almost annoyed once or twice: bad idea to steal scenes from the emcee! :)
Joyce DeWitt, and to a lesser extent Richard Kline, were NERVOUS throughout. At one point, the question was "Name a famous person with a large nose". Joyce stammered "...he... wrote letters to Roxanne.... uh... Cyrano de Bergerac!" -- I guess the training in classical theatre came through -- and when the buzzer went, she literally hid under the microphone stand. Richard's answer for the same question was "Pinocchio" (!!), and it also drew a buzzer and a lot of grimacing.
Norman Fell was the most assured one in the bunch, but in the big-money round, he got flustered and said "PR" in response to "name a movie rating".
In the end, though, all misunderstandings were overcome, as always, and this bunch walked away the grand champions, defeating Soap and then the Love Boat. :happyface
P.S. Note the missing star.
sunshinefizzy 02-20-2008, 01:47 PM Yeah, I wonder where the hell Sue was.
Scoobiedoo30 02-20-2008, 01:49 PM Sue Who
sunshinefizzy 02-20-2008, 06:16 PM Suzanne Somers. That Sue!!!;)
vtunie 02-20-2008, 07:33 PM Yeah, I wonder where the hell Sue was.
Actually, as Dawson was chatting to the "family" one by one, when Ritter's turn came up, he extended his hand and introduced himself: "Hello, Suzanne Somers", before explaining that she was off filming a movie. That would probably be "Yesterday's Hero".
Lyverbe 02-21-2008, 08:50 AM You seem to know every single detail of the show. Do you have it? would it be possible to share it with us?
janet42 03-21-2008, 11:11 PM I got this DVD set at Barnes & Noble Bookstore. "Three's Company" did pretty good playing against "Soap". But when they showed them playing against "Love Boat", they just did one round and went to the finals. But beyond the that the DVD's were pretty good. :)
