Seemingly in response to our most recent news the other day, our sources have leaked the pictures to us that you see below. They tell us that these are what Columbia's planning to use as cover art for the upcoming Seinfeld DVD releases.
The first image is one of the four we brought you a couple of months ago, in this report about a survey sponsored by the studio. One of the survey questions showed four possible shots of the box, and asked respondents to mark which one they preferred. If this source is right, then it looks lke we can see which cover won the survey!
The second image wasn't among the survey choices, but is pretty well-known to Seinfeld fans and a great choice for the Season 3 box set. The composition around the shot looks pretty simple, but it's from a trusted source and so we know it's not a homemade job. It could be just Columbia's temp art, but wasn't represented that way to our source. Time will tell, we suppose!
Bear in mind though, that even if this is truly the current cover art for both items, Columbia still has plenty of time to change the boxes. So, by no means consider this "final", but you definitely get an idea of how they're thinking. The official studio announcement is coming in the near-future, though, so stay tuned...we'll be all over it!
