In honor of Black Sabbath appearing at Ozzfest at the White River Ampitheater up the street from me in Auburn, Washington--WITH ORIGINAL DRUMMER BILL WARD!!!!--I present the musical question: What is YOUR favorite Black Sabbath album? The guys invented metal almost 35 years ago, so--fire away your opinions!!

Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath
But my favorite is my two-disc "best of" set. That's got all my favorite tunes on it :guitar:

Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is SOOOOO underrated. The music was at its peak. I also got a music songbook of the album when I was 14 in 1977 and learned to play guitar from it. I wish I still had it around. It's one of their best albums.

I like most Black Sabbath albums with the exception of Technical Ecstacy. Most have a weak spot or two however.
The only Black Sabbath album that has absolutely no weak spots is Heaven and Hell. Ironically, Ozzy wasn't even on it!
Ronnie James Dio was nowhere near the showman that Ozzy was at the time. I thought he had a better voice though

but Never Say Die was even more disappointing. During these two albums Ozzy was a total mess. That's why they fired him after the Never Say Die tour.
The problem with Technical Ecstasy was that it was too polished and lacked the trademark Sabbath crunch. I think it was okay and had a few good spots, though.
Heaven and Hell was an excellent album.
