It looks like the 2 hour long episodes (Retrospective and the 1st Hello, Larry crossover The Trip) are the 22 minute syndicated prints, but other then that I loved the set.

I already bought the first season and I am looking forward to purchasing all of the others because I really liked watching it.

I ordered my copy from Amazon.Ca and happily recieved it in the mail today.It's been so long since I've seen this show.

I got my copy it's great it has left me wanting more.

I've really enjoyed my DVD copy of season 1 too.Now I'm anxious to see season 2 released on DVD.

I've just bought a copy of Season 1 on sale ( for 15 euros ! :cool:) at a Megastore. This is what i call a real bargain, considering it's an imported box set. I'm glad i bought it, they just had one in the whole store. I grew up watching Diff'rent Strokes dubbed in french and it's just SOMETHING ELSE. The difference between the posh-but-cool Drummonds and the street-smart Jacksons from Harlem is way more obvious in its original version. There's no way to really be faithful to the accents, slang terms, puns and all that, when it's dubbed. Gary Coleman's performances are great, the tone he has and his little phrases are very amusing. Not to diss the dubbers (they did a fine job, considering) but there's no way to be as humorous. Hopefully i can purchase Season Two from that store too! Season 1 isn't my favourite at all, still it's very naive and touching.And it's a hundred times better in its original form than what i used to watch.

PS : i only wish there were more commentaries (how about the first episode for instance?).
