Everybody knows that Lucy got plastered by drinking too much "Vitameatavegamin" in the classic episode of "I Love Lucy" entitled "Lucy Does a TV Commercial" (Episode #30). Of course, as Joe, the stagehand, learned from reading the label, the tonic's alcohol content was a whopping 23%. Or was it? This rare photo reveals that according to the label , the alchohol content was really only 11%. It was during rehearsals that the decision was made to raise the percentage to 23% for dramatic effect.
