Just goes to show that you don't always need radio airplay to sell. He has the top selling album in the USA and the NY Daily News had a page 3 story today that 7 of his last 10 albums hit the top 10. I don't know any of his songs besides Margaritaville, but apparently a whole lot of folks follow him faithfully.

I hear him on the radio all the time.

not a fan of his at all. But it's always nice to see someone whose name isn't Usher at #1

lol... ushers number 2 for the 2nd week in a row...and as hot as usher is it's nice to see someone else get a chance lol

but he's always #1 on one of the two charts, which I find baffling because Yeah is the only one of the 3 singles that really stood out to me at all.

I'm not a real fan of Jimmy's. I love Margaritaville, but that's about it.

Jimmy's faithful followers are called "parrotheads" He has a huge fan base. Jimmy has a great deal of great tunes- I love his music

Did you know that Jimmy Buffett's new CD, "License To Chill",is not only his first number 1 on the pop charts but on the country charts as well??? And his first album came out in 1970 on the Barnaby label. Not only that,he has now 2 top 10 country singles in a row, It's 5:00 O'Clock Somewhere his duet with Alan Jackson(it stayed number 1 on the country charts for 8 weeks) and Hey Good Lookin' where he is joined by Kenny Chesney,Alan Jackson,and others. His highest country appearance on the country charts was Margaritaville,which went to number 13 in 1977,and number 8 on the pop charts.

A great CD to start off with would be his greatest hits CD.
