In our June 21st news article we gave a lot of details about the specs for 7th Heaven - The Complete 1st Season. One of the things we talked about was the list price, or rather the lack of it at the time. One online retailer showed a $59.95 list price, another showed an $89.95 list price. We responded by pointing out that Paramount has a habit of not naming list prices for many of their TV-on-DVD sets, and that this seemed to be one of them.

Yesterday Paramount released more details about their September slate, and did in fact name an SRP for this title. They show that consumers should be able to buy this for around $50 in the USA, or around $60 in Canada. This is basically what we told you in our July 16 news post. Hopefully, that official word from the studio will help to settle a question which has been on consumers' minds since pre-orders went up.

Running back down the list of vital info: street date is September 14, for a 6-DVD set with 22 episodes with an official running time now stated to be 16 hours and 39 minutes. Full screen video, English Dolby Surround Stereo, French Stereo, and closed captioning make up the rest of the specs.

 Not really, 50$ is pretty good for a drama like 7th Heaven. BMW is going for 49.95$ :)

Good news!! I *so* cannot wait!! I'll be waiting impatiently for the 6-DVD box set in September!!! :D I'll also be waiting for Boy Meets World season 1 next week!! Woohoo!!

I think the reason why it's a tad more expensive than other TV shows is because this show runs about 44 minutes per episode times 22 episodes. Other sitcoms are about 22 minutes long, so it's just the running time that's different.

Where there any other mentions of special features or anything?

Happy Days is also being released?? Season 1?? When? Wow!!! Another one to add to my list in the near future!! :D

Amazon.com has the price for this release listed as $64.99 that is a bit high compared to what I thought it might be. But I'm still getting it :D

I know BMW next week, I can't wait. I am waiting impatiently I should say ;)

Yeah Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley Seasons 1 came out today :D

Angela Micelli: Thanks for the info!! Funny how it was released the day I found out about it. I've been spending money like crazy, so I'd better wait for a bit until I purchase Happy Days. I think I will buy BMW first and wait till later for HD. :)
