I'm not a big fan of extreme makeover, but ABC made me mad by not putting 8SR at a later time... they said in the taglines,"It couldn't wait until next season." Well, it COULD !

ABC is counterprogramming with FOX because FOX stole an idea of a reality show from them. We have seen the last of 8 Simple Rules at Tuesdays at 8, it last aired July 13.

This coming Tuesday (July 27), 8 Simple Rules will not air again ("Mall in the Family"). ABC will air an encore of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition this Tuesday to counterprogram against Trading Spouses. However, 8 Simple Rules will start next Friday (July 30) in its summer slot of Fridays at 8:30PM. The new fall slot with new episodes starts Sept. 24, Fridays at 8PM.

Is it because FOX copied Wife Swap,that they aren't airing 8SR at its old time slot?

Yes, for this past Tuesday and this coming Tuesday. After that it was scheduled to leave Tuesdays anyway.

I can't believe Fox would steal a show from them. Are they allowed to do that?

They moved them to Fridays because it would be the only chance of '8 Simple Rules' surviving. If they would've kept them on Tuesdays, most likely, they would've been cancelled due to the high ratings of A.I.
