What is the most you would pay or have paid for concert tickets?

It depends on how much of a fan of the performer I am, and how good the seats are. I'd go as high as $200.

probably up to $250, depending on how much i like the artist.

If I really wanted to see the person bad enough, I would probably be willing to pay up to $200. That would be VERY rare for me, though. Up to this point, the most I've paid is around $80.

Yeah, I think $80 is the most I've paid for a concert so far. And that wasn't even a musical performance. It was Jerry Seinfeld.

That's awesome. I've always wanted to see him live. He signs autographs at the stage door for people who wait after the show.

Well... depends on who it is, how good the seats are, and how much extra cash I have around at the time. Probably $175-$200.

I wouldn't pay a whole lot. I was:eek: at the prices of Madonna tickets $300 a piece...I bought my daughters some Wiggles concet tickets for last year at $30 a piece; this year I bought the $18 ones. Once my daughters grow up, I'll reconsider

The most I've paid (I think...) is $70 for Clay Aiken tickets, but I was willing to pay a lot more than that for better seats.

The most I paid for concert tickets were $300.00 for a pair of tickets to see Sade, it was worth it.

$89.50 was what I paid for fourth row seats to see Prince at MSG last week, $179 for the pair, and at first I thought that was a lot. Seeing as how you can't get much better than "4th row Prince" when it comes to something I'd want to see, the bar is set. I wouldn't pay more than that to see anyone else.

I paid $510 to see Clay 2nd row this August 3rd. I got the ticket from Ebay. :blush: Other than that.. theyve all been under $80 without the service charge. Im not gonna start dishing out that kind of money for every concert, but I really wanted to treat myself since Im making the 3 hour drive to see him.

I paid $470 for two tickets to see Cher.

But isn't it worth it sometimes to splurge and give yourself a little happiness in your life. No matter how much I cringe after paying for concert tickets, I always come away feeling that it was worth it.

Yes, I feel the same way. I'm about to pay $80 to see Martina McBride in September. The price is so high, because it's really Alan Jackson's show. I could care less about him, though. I'll be leaving at some point during his set.

It isnt like every concert you go to youre right up there practically on stage. I figured, if I didnt get myself this ticket.. that $$$ wouldve been blown on something stupid as always. Least now Ill really appreciate it.

Well, I've only bough two of my OWN concert tickets in my life. My parents bought Spice Girls, Britney Spears, and American Idol tickets, and I think one of my dad's patients gave him Sawyer Brown tickets. But the two Evanescence concerts I've bought tickets for, the first was $40.50 (w/o including service charge, my mom paid that) and $56 and that was service charge included.

They were pretty close. We werent like front row or anything but they were pretty good seats.

i paid 360$ for two tickets to Bonnaroo

My American Idol tickets were 110 for 2 but my mom paid for them. I paid 50 dollars myself to see them last year, and I paid 25 dollars for this Radio concert featuring Clay and Kim Locke. My friend's mom got those tickets online and got Row 12 or 13.

concert prices are freaking insane now.

In 1988, my sister bought me and her concert tickets to see Michael Jackson, EXCELLENT SEATS. for $22.50. Even with inflation, that $22 would only be about $35-40 with todays logic. And sorry, but MJ was bigger back then than most of these artists charging twice/triple/quadruple that today.

Blame Barbra Streisand, she decided to get greedy and charge $350 concert tickets in 1994... and when she saw her fans liked her that much, other artists got greedy too, and now look how insane it is.

that's crazy. I got GREAT seats at Cher's concert for $80 in Sept 2002. Couldn't imagine $235 per seat

i paid a couple hundred for avril tickets last year... i got one for a friend and me on ticketmaster and i was gonna get up early but got up l8 so i was like oh crap now im gonna get seats (i wanted the floor like where u stand) so i was sad. i even started crying. i bought the tickets anyway though. but later that day i went on ebay and bought floor tickets. i never sold the extra ones and the person i was gonna go with had to do something so i went by myself. i didn't sell them there either because there was a lot of security outside the building and i was afraid.

it was fun tho :D
