That's Ok Pavanbadal. I started a new topic so we can discuss the Emmy Award situation. I checked the nominees on the Emmy site and it said the nominees were Hal Linden, Alan Alda, Richard Mulligan, John and Judd Hirsch who won for Taxi. But it says that he was nominated in 1981 when the episode took place in 1982. Check out page 231 in the book and read John's quote. He clearly states he was nominated for 'Up in the Air' but according to Emmy records, he was not. I'm getting confused, lol! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Hmm 1981? Up in the Air was '82, this is confusing..

I searched for John Ritter got this:
OUTSTANDING LEAD ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES - 1981
NOMINATED Three's Company • John Ritter • ABC
OUTSTANDING LEAD ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES - 1984
WON Three's Company • John Ritter • ABC

That's exactly what I got. The Emmy awards (in 1981) took place September 13, 1981 where 'Up in the Air' took place Feb. 16, 1982 and aired May 4, 1982--meaning, obviously, that episode did not qualify for the awards. This is very confusing. I don't know what to make of it!

So I guess he got nominated for another episode...I knew he didn't get nominated for Up in the Air, because in an interview he was saying we wanted to win for that one...

But I have one question. Why did he say he was nominated for 'Up in the Air' if he really wasn't? Did you catch the part I was talking about on the page of that book? I'm still confused. I'm gonna keep looking this up until I find out which other episode he was nominated for. I'll let you know when I find out...if I ever do http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif
Sorry for the misunderstandings. I was just reading a direct quote from John Ritter. I guess you can't believe everything you read! lol
