In a lot of episodes Eddie Haskell calls Wally Sam or Gertrud or sometimes even Rover but he seemed to say Sam the most. Why did he call Wally these names?

Also, remember the episode where Eddie said to Wally "You better clear this mess up before the Warden gets home!" Do you think this was a pun on Wally's dad since his name was Ward?

I don't recall there ever being a reason given why Eddie called Wally all those nicknames. I think that was just Eddies way of trying to act cool.

It never occured to me that Warden was a pun on Wally's dad but it may very well have been. I always thought that Eddie just called him that because Ward was kind of strict with Wally by giving him all these rules and so forth whereas it seemed Eddie was allowed a lot more freedom.

In the episode when Wally was going to ask Marlene, the girl who worked in the theatre box office out, Eddie referred to him as "Mr. Peepers."

Eddie gave Wally all of those nicknames simply because he likes being a character, and that's one of the ways he keeps his reputation. I also noticed the thing about the, "Warden". I think that is what teens back then referred to as their parents. If I'm not mistaken' I remember Lumpy referring to his Dad as the, "Warden". I'm not sure, but that's a good question though.

I thought "warden" meant something like a prison warden rather than Ward Cleaver, but maybe not. :D

Wow, that's a comprehensive list! I think my favorite would have to be "Gertrude". "Stella" is pretty good too. I don't remember Eddie calling Wally "Lover",:ladiesman that's hysterical!
