I liked her in Ab Fab, but I had misgivings when I found out that she'd be taking over for Caroline Quentin in Jonathan Creek. The character of Maddy was the main reason I'd watched that show, but Sawalha's Carla is an equally entertaining companion for Jonathan. It's nice to know that there's more to her range than just the cynical Saffy Monsoon.

Well, she's been in alot of other things. But I guess because Saffy is her most well-known role, people always see think of Saffy when they hear Julia's name. I think she is a great actress and can play any role. Sometimes it's hard to not be type-cast when you are in a hugely successful show like Ab Fab. But Julia is such a great actress and I'm glad she is in J.C. :D

Cool! I'm glad you got the DVDs. The show is so funny! And it's one of those shows you can watch over and over and catch something new almost each time. I love it! And there is supposed to be a Christmas special being filmed within the next 2 months. Plus, most people think there will be another series, but nothing certain yet.
We can only hope, sweetie, darling :p :p :p

You should check out Nighty Night on Oxygen Fridays at 11pm EST/10pm CT.
I'm trying to spread the word. Everyone who likes British comedies will wet themselves when they see this show. It's about a beautician who starts husband hunting after she finds out her husband has cancer. Sounds twisted right? but it's great.

I think she's a great actress. It took my a while to realize that Saffy and Lydia (from Pride and Prejudice) were in fact played by the same person.
