CBS Upholds Tradition with Fall Premieres

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) CBS will stick to the if-it-ain't-broke way of doing business when it launches its 2004-05 prime-time schedule.
The network will roll out nearly all of its shows the week of Sept. 20, which is the Nielsen-designated start of the season. "Survivor: Vanuatu" will premiere the previous week, and a handful of shows will come later in September or early October, but for the most part, it's as traditional a rollout as can be found this fall.

It's hard to argue with the strategy. CBS is opening the season as the most-watched network on television, and it's also enjoying a strong summer, which gives the network ample time to promote its five new series. Additionally, most of the new shows will be following established performers.


Here's the complete rundown (all times Eastern, new shows in bold):

I'm there for Survivor and Clubhouse. May have to finally sample Joan of Arcadia, and check out CSI: NY.

Good on CBS for following convention. It is a very good call, in my opinion.
