I've watched this show a few times before, but John Walsh is the host, right??
Was his son every in an episode of "Unsolved Myseries" (remember his son, Adam, got killed a long time ago).

Robert Stack was the host of Unsolved Mysteries. John Walsh is the host of Americas Most Wanted. As far as I know his son Adam was never profiled on UM.

Yeah that case has never been on UM but the publicity surrounding his murder was a really big thing back in the 80s. John Walsh later got involved law enforcement as the host of "America's Most Wanted" as a direct result of his son's slaying. There were even several movies about the case I believe.

I think Walsh also wrote a book where he named the suspected killer and why he suspected him but I believe the murderer passed away in prison. Another case of a person changing their life around to become involved in law enforcement would be Domenick Dunne who began to write all types of detective/true crime books after the murder of his daughter the beautiful and telented Domenique Dunne.

Later.

Tragically, it is true. Adam Walsh was beheaded. Only his severed head was recovered (the rest of his body wasn't).

The prime suspect in the case was serial killer Ottis Toole. He was arrested in 1983 for an unrelated arson murder, and started confessing to a series of other killings. At one point, he confessed to killing Adam Walsh, but later recanted. Some potential evidence was lost, including Toole's car, which had some blood in it. (This was years before DNA testing became available.) Although Toole was never officially charged with Adam's murder, he couldn't be ruled out as a suspect. He died from cirhosis of the liver in September of 1996.

That's so sick!! :(
Was he beheaded while he was alive or dead?
If it was alive, I would be so sick because that is such an evil, sick thing to do! It's really sick to do it period.
I get sick talking about this.
