I noticed that too, I just got the First Season DVD last week (I already had Season 2) and was kind of surprised by that.

(even though Ive seen that episode before, many times)

Yeah her sassiness did not start until season 2.

It takes time before any employee realizes that their employer bark is worst than thier bite! Especially when you have the employers wife on your side. :)

In the episode,"Meet The Press",George tells Florence to stay in the kitchen and then the doorbell rings and the following occurs:

George: Florence, get the door.
Florence: You told me to stay in the kitchen!!!
George: GET THE DOOR!!!
Florence: Just because you yell at me,doesn't mean you have to treat me like you do,you could have opened,closed and shut the door before I came out here.

Yeah see the Difference? in the later eps Florence would have said-"you get the door i'm busy" but instead she said-"you told me to stay in the kitchen" and i just love the way George says-GET THE DOOR!!!!!!!!!
