"Melvin & Friends" is a new sitcom based on the movie "Melvin Goes to Dinner". Bringing back the film's cast, the series focuses on the gang as they encounter changes in their lives. The Waitress (Kathleen Roll) has a new job, at a hip diner, after being fired from the restaurant for always being drunk. The gang, coincidentally hangs out at that diner, Becking's Diner. Joey (Matt Price) is continuing his relationship with Sarah (Annabelle Gurwitch) and they are about to make it serious.... by moving in together. Hell, Joey is even going to divorce Rita! Also, Melvin (Mike Blieden) is back living in his apartment and that's really about it.
