"YOU…SON-OF-A-GUN!!!"
TV Land Celebrates Labor Day with “Bewitched: McMann & Tate” Marathon

Santa Monica, CA, August 26, 2004 – In honor of the hard-working men and women in America, this Labor Day TV Land will salute one of television's funniest and most unforgettable advertising teams of Darrin Stevens and Larry Tate in the "Bewitched: McMann and Tate Labor Day” marathon. Beginning Monday, September 6 at 8:00pm (all times ET/PT) viewers will be treated to eight episodes featuring some of Darrin and Larry's most memorable advertising campaigns and their biggest blunders.

This celebration also highlights the many antics of Samantha's (Elizabeth Montgomery) eccentric relatives including her menacing mother Endora (Agnes Moorehead), who zaps Darrin's (Dick York) anguished boss -- Larry Tate (David White) -- into an inanimate object and the zany adventures of Aunt Clara's (Marion Lorne) disappearing acts.

The following is the schedule for Bewitched: McMann and Tate Labor Day marathon (all times ET/PT):

8:00pm #11 "It Takes One to Know One"
Darrin hires a beautiful model for the Jasmine Perfume account and has Larry chaperone to keep him from getting into trouble.

8:30pm #46 "Junior Executive"
Endora turns Darrin into an eight year old. When a client sees the boy in the office, he tells Larry that he likes the idea of a young boy working on the ad campaign for the toy model ship.

9:00pm #49 "My Boss the Teddy Bear"
When Darrin does not think Larry will give him time, Endora suggests turning Larry into an inanimate object. This makes Darrin suspicious when he sees a teddy bear in his office.

9:30pm #59 "Double Tate"
Endora decides to make three of Darrin's wishes come true for his birthday, only he is unaware of her birthday present. Darrin says aloud "I wish I were Larry Tate for just one day" and poof...he's Larry.

10:00pm #64 "Double Split"
Samantha and Louise try to bring Darrin and Larry back together after they have an argument.

10:30pm #69 "Divided He Falls"
When Darrin cannot escape from work to go on vacation with Samantha, Endora has the perfect solution. She creates two Darrins; Darrin #1 (the work-a-holic who bores Larry) and Darrin #2 (the vacation-holic who wears Samantha out).

11:00pm #94 "The Corn is as High as a Guernsey's Eye"
Larry tells Darrin to forget the Morton Milk account -- another agency plans to promote Morton's famous Guernsey cow in McMann and Tate's office building lobby. Meanwhile, Aunt Clara disappears and Sam thinks that she has turned herself into a cow.

11:30pm #110 "Business, Italian Style"
Darrin and Larry plan a campaign with Mr. Arcarius to introduce Chef Romani foods to the American market. Mr. Arcarius feels that Mr. Romani would give the account to McMann & Tate if Darrin knew some Italian. Larry implies that Darrin is fluent in the language and orders him to learn Italian immediately.

TV LAND SALUTES THE EMMY AWARDS® WITH TV LAND PRESENTS: EMMY’S GREATEST MOMENTS

Jason Bateman Hosts One-Hour Special Celebrating the Awards Show’s Most Memorable Highlights on Wednesday, September 15

Santa Monica, CA, August 25, 2004 – TV Land continues to roll out its line-up of original specials this Fall and celebrates The Primetime Emmy Awards with an unprecedented look back at some of the show’s most memorable televised highlights over the last 50 years as the network premieres TV Land Presents: Emmy’s Greatest Moments on Wednesday, September 15 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Hosted by Jason Bateman, star of FOX’s hit comedy Arrested Development, TV Land, in association with the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, was granted rare access to the Television Academy’s vast archive collection to look back at past Emmy Awards where television history was made. Great moments, some of which have not been seen since they first aired, will be showcased in this one-hour special, including clips from 1955, the year of The Emmys’ first national broadcast hosted by Steve Allen, to 1977, when the year in television could be summed up in one word: Roots, to 2001, when the Emmy Awards were postponed twice and ultimately aired to prove once again that laughter is the best medicine. The show is executive produced by Dann Netter (AFI’s 100 Years…100 Movies specials) and Gary Smith (Executive Producer, 54th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards) in conjunction with the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ executive producer Michael Rosen and Television Academy Governor (Production Executives Peer Group) Barbara Wellner. Gary Smith also directs.

“Television history unfolds every year at The Primetime Emmy Awards,” explains Sal Maniaci, Vice President, Development and Production, TV Land and Nick at Nite. “The event itself has become a global affair, and with the help of the Television Academy, TV Land has been able to compile a special which highlights some of the most unforgettable, funniest and moving moments from these awards shows.”

“For more than 50 years, the Emmys have been a landmark event in television,” Television Academy Chairman Dick Askin commented. “Every generation of television viewers has favorite memories from the telecast, and this is the best way to combine these exciting moments.”

TV Land Productions was created in 2003 to create original programming that complements the network’s successful acquired programming slate. TV Land Productions is headed by Sal Maniaci, Vice President of Development and Production, TV Land and Nick at Nite. In addition to this production, TV Land Productions has also produced The TV Land Awards Show: A Celebration of Classic TV (March 2003 and 2004) and the Emmy-nominated The Dick Van Dyke Show, Revisited, the network’s first original special for broadcast, which premiered on CBS in May. I don't have the synopsis for this special yet. It's on TV Land and has a tie in for CBS's primetime schedule, which premieres a wek after this TV Land stunt. Probably lots of CBS promos during this period. Maybe a tie-in with the Emmys, too.

CBS STARS SHINE ON TV LAND
IN "TV LAND'S CBS PREMIERE WEEK"
BEGINNING MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 13TH

NEW YORK, Sept. 7 -- CBS and TV Land announced today that the two networks will partner on-air the week of September 13-17 -- a week before the new CBS Fall schedule premieres -- for "TV Land's CBS Premiere Week." The week-long primetime salute will feature more than a dozen stars from new and established CBS shows as they celebrate premiere episodes and season opening episodes from some of Classic TV's most beloved programs. The partnership, which represents the latest such effort since the two networks became corporate siblings in 2000, will combine the star power of the current CBS line-up, including Everybody Loves Raymond and The King Of Queens, with the hit Classic TV sitcoms like The Andy Griffith Show and All in the Family seen daily on TV Land.

Throughout the week, viewers tuning into TV Land from 8PM - 10PM (ET/PT) will hear from CBS performers as they set up the classic TV episode and offer their own insights into each shows' continued popularity. Stars from the CBS line-up slated to appear on TV Land include Kevin James (King Of Queens), Brad Garrett (Everybody Loves Raymond), Peter Boyle (Everybody Loves Raymond), Jerry Stiller (King Of Queens), Jami Gertz (Still Standing), Mare Winningham (Clubhouse), Jason Alexander (Listen Up), Charlie Sheen (Two And A Half Men), Jon Cryer (Two And A Half Men), Malcolm Jamal-Warner (Listen Up) and several others. Among the shows TV Land will present throughout the week include The Andy Griffith Show, The Brady Bunch, Cheers, Happy Days, Three's Company, Leave It To Beaver and Sanford and Son.
¡°This premiere week stunt is part of our overall marketing strategy to generate valuable exposure and excitement as we lead right into the new season,¡± said George Schweitzer, Executive Vice President, Marketing and Communications, CBS. ¡°By combining CBS¡¯s top talent with the TV Land¡¯s top programs -- many of them CBS classics -- it will be fun for our stars and fun for our viewers.¡±

"For TV Land viewers, there's nothing better than to see your favorite stars from today alongside the shows you've loved all your life," explained Larry W. Jones, President, TV Land and Nick at Nite. "Quite frankly, without CBS, there would be no TV Land to air great shows like I Love Lucy, The Andy Griffith Show and All in the Family. TV Land is honored to work with CBS to make this week a reality for our viewers."

Here is a brief report on how TV Land did this past summer. Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Three's Company (not in that order, nor did I say these are the top 3 shows) are among their shows that do well:

TV LAND'S MONTH IN REVIEW: August (July 26th – August 29th)

Among A25-54 this month, TVL (.24) surpassed both Hallmark (.21) and Bravo (.18). TVL ranked # 19 (tied w/HGTV&DSNY), Hallmark came in at #24 while Bravo ranked #27 vs. basic cable networks in total day.
In prime, TVL was tied with Bravo while surpassing Hallmark. TVL and Bravo (.35) ranked #23 while Hallmark paced well behind with a .28, ranking #27 vs. basic cable networks.

Weekends (2p-8p) The Western marathons performed well this month. The marathons, airing for three weeks now, have evidently been driven by Sunday’s Gunsmoke (.44). Averaging a solid .36 among A25-54, the block posted a +33% increase over last month. Bonanza also saw solid ratings, averaging a .28 among A25-54, up +4% from last month.

Late Night: The block continues to deliver solid ratings. With Three’s Company continuing as the frontrunner, the block averaged a .37 among A25-54 in August, flat to its average this quarter and ahead of last August levels, up +16%.
