Michael Alfonso, who is accused of killing two of his former girlfriends, is finally in custody! UM profiled the case in 2001, a few months after the shooting death of Alfonso's ex-girlfriend Genoveva Velasquez (she was killed in front of the restaurant where she worked). He is also suspected of the 1992 murder of Sumanear Yang, another one of his ex-girlfriends.

Woohoo! Excellent news :)

I don't think I have seen that case, but it's always nice to see a scumbag get captured.

cocky s.o.b. with an anger management problem. He liked to get involved with women who were already married or were having trouble with their husbands or whatever and then when they wanted to go back to their husband, he would get mad and attack them. I remember after he killed Genoveva he skipped away from the murder scene.

Glad to see this scumbag put away

Later.

YES! YES! YES!

Always love hearing news like this.

AMW viewers will remember that this is the guy that says that those that get profiled on AMW and get caught are stupid and he'd be able to elude them. While this wasn't an AMW capture (checked the site to make sure), the ends justify the means in this case. Hope he gets exactly what he deserves.

I love this kind of news! I think I have this case on tape somewhere, or maybe I'm thinking of a different case?

YAY!!! YAY!!! YAY!!! :) :) :) :) :)

I just caught Michael Alfonso on I (Almost) Got Away With It. When he was detailing his flight to Mexico, he said he was incarcerated after authorities discovered he was in the country illegally. He claimed while he was in jail, he saw a number of people who had (also) been profiled on America's Most Wanted, that he "recognized some of them" from the show.

I suppose I wonder if Michael Alfonso ever gave up any information as to the whereabouts of other fugitives. I don't necessarily doubt what he's said is true, but I guess I'd be very curious to know if in fact it is. And who did he see?

Just something interesting I saw.
