I've been rummaging for photos for the Chico/Freddie Storyline segment and I just have to say that while I am looking at the vast photos of Freddie I'm still amazed at how it turned out for him. In the photos he looks so darn happy. He has woman, He looks fine, He's got nice clothes, He has friends, He's doing his routine, He was having a heck of a life that young guy........... He had the biggest smile in so many of the photos. He really hid his turmoil well... for awhile there. :(

I was surprised when he commited suicide cuz he seemed so happy & you would've never suspected him to do something like that. He sure kept it hid evidently...

um...thats why they call it "acting"......and our Freddie did one hell of a job of it. He was playing the part of the man he wanted everyone to believe he was, but obviously, he wasn't that "SMILING FREDDIE" the public believed him to be. I am sure those who truly knew him, were aware there was a problem, but we must also consider his age....alot of people may have thought he was young, had alot to learn, etc.....

In her book about his life Maria comments that Freddie didn't come home to visit as often toward the end, if he did he didn't stay too long, he probably knew that the one who knew him the best, his Mom would see how he was hurting...and he didn't want to put that on her???
Just speculating here

i have to agree....his mom would have been the one to pick up on it and question him...he probably didnt wanna deal with it either since the drugs were his way of numbing the pain and getting away......we have to assume he was trying to do just that....
and his mom would have been just the one to pick up on that.
