Is anybody excited to see how the Bewitched movie will turn out? For those who don't know, the cast is:

Nicole Kidman - Samantha Stephens
Will Ferrell - Darrin Stephens
Shirley MacLaine - Endora
Michael Caine - Nigel
Steven Carell - Uncle Arthur
Kristin Chenoweth - Marie
Joan Plowright - Aunt Clara
Jason Schwartzman - Ritchie
Amy Sedaris - Gladys Kravitz

I don't like the idea of Will Ferrell playing Darrin. I think Shirley MacLaine is perfect for Endora, and Nicole Kidman I'm not so sure about yet. I have yet to see her do real comedy...she's always so serious even when she makes a joke. I don't know. What do you guys think?

So who on earth are Nigel and Ritchie!!!!?? Brother I hate the idea of this movie and these "new" characters only make me more upset that they are trying to remake this classic. Leave "Bewitched", alone I say no one can replace the original cast.

*Sigh* More bad news...

In a USA Today article, Kidman says of Bewitched, "I have to make that movie... There's an enormous amount of interest in it." Our source at Columbia Tri-Star says that filming is now set to begin in June 2004 and that just as Samantha always wanted, she will only have one Darrin. The catch? Samantha and Darrin are characters in the Bewitched TV show, but the actor playing Darrin, Jack, falls in love with his leading lady, Isabel. In a case of art imitating life, Isabel really is as much of a closeted witch as Samantha.

Michael Caine is Nigel who is the "actor" who plays Maurice and then there's Shirley who portrays Endora who is an actress named Iris. I have no idea who Ritchie is. The movie already blows and it's not even in theatre's yet. :rolleyes:

My God, that information sounds absolutely awful! So Endora is not even being called Endora? I can't believe this. How can they tamper with "Bewitched", like that. Thanks for the info but its confirmed my belief about this movie right from the start.

Doesn't that sound more like the plot of the making of a tv show? with fictionalized story lines? They've really ****ed up this one, haven't they?

I knew making a Bewitched would be a big mistake especially when they try and steer away from the original. They need to leave well enough alone.

Yeah, but we didn't know that Hollywood would revamp the whole entire concept of what Bewitched was!!!!!
