I've found conflicting information on this subject. Some say the address was 148, others say 448; also, there's some confusion as to whether it was Bonnie Meadow or Bonny Meadow.

Can anyone help me out with this? I believe Rob may have mentioned the address in Episode #41, "A Bird in the Head Hurts," but I haven't been able to track that episode down.

This is important to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I definitely think it's Bonnie Meadow Road. I've heard both 148 and 448 for the house number, but most often I hear it as 148. Next weekend on TV Land, the Fandemonium is going to be DVD, so you might check if "A Bird in the Head Hurts" is on their schedule.

The Official Dick Van Dyke Show book says that the address was 448 Bonnie Meadow Road, but whenever I have heard it said on the show (I know there were several shows that mentioned their address), it was 148 Bonnie Meadow Road. I also know that when the Helpers' address was mentioned, it was 146 Bonnie Meadow Road. It seems to me that the book says one thing, but the show said another, and that's where the confusion has come from.

The Petrie's address was definately 148 Bonnie Meadow Road. I've read A LOT of misprints on the internet and in books. But on the Dick Van Dyke Show Rob always say it's 148 and I think Rob knows where he lives....at least I hope.

Hm... interesting...

Thanks for all your help, guys. Can one of you cite a particular episode in which Rob says the address? I hate to be a stickler, but I'm planning on naming my production company after their address, so I want to be sure. Carl Reiner's office told me it was 448 Bonnie Meadow (!).

Actually, if anyone can tell where I could get my hand on some tapes, that'd be good, too. I either need to hear him say the address myself or see the dialogue written out. Who knew this would get this crazy? http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

Thanks a lot, guys!!

Ok I was scanning my memory for that one and I got so excited because I thought it was in the episode "Where Did I Come From?" But then I remembered Rob forgot to tell the cab company his address so back to the drawing board. I *think* but Im not sure its in the episode "Its a Shame She Married Me" I'll check for you and let you know.

Finally found it! It's in the episode "A Bird in the Head Hurts". Rob is trying to get the animal control peoples to his house to get rid of the woodpecker and he gives them his address. It's in "The Blonde Haired Brunette", too.

I saw the episode, A Word A Day, today where Richie is swearing at school. Laura calls his friend's parents--the family recently moved to the neighborhood. She asks them to come over to meet. Laura and Rob think Richie's new friend is a bad influence on him. Laura gives his parents the address 148 Bonnie Meadow Road--I'm positive of it.
Of course Richie's friend's father ends up being a reverend.

You can also check out the episodes Harrison B. Harding of Camp Crowder, MO and My Blonde Hair Brunette. In the first, Rob tells Harrison his address when he invites him over for dinner. In the other, Millie gives the address to the druggist when she orders the hair dye.

BTW, did you know that 48 Bonnie Meadow Road was Carl Reiner's address when he lived in New Rochelle. He just added a number on the front and made it the Petrie's address.

Hi all,
I know that in both the Harrison B. Harding episode and the woodpecker episode, Rob clearly states that their address is "148 Bonnie Meadow Road." Who said the address in "My Blonde-Haired Brunette"? It was Millie on the phone with the druggist, right?

In "The Curious Thing About Women," when Laura accidentally opens the package containing the inflatable boat, the house number on the box appears to begin with a "4." That would jive with all the books and web sites that give their address as "448 Bonnie Meadow Road." Here's a theory: Maybe it was supposed to be 448 all along. and Millie . . . or whoever . . . just happened to say it wrong in "My Blonde-Haired Brunette." And then, maybe Dick was told to say it that way again in those subsequent episodes, for the sake of continuity. What do you think? Possible?

They probably figured nobody would notice . . . or care. Certainly, they had *no* idea that, decades later, people would be discussing it on computers.

Will we ever know for sure what their address was?

Hi all,
In the Antonio Stadivarius episode, Rob's address was given as 148 Bonnie Meadow Road. Also, in "Too Many Stars," Millie gives *her* address as 146 Bonnie Meadow Road.

That's two more in favor of 148.
