"Moving On With The Stones"

After having their second and last child graduate from college, Jim and Paula Stone (Tim Allen, Fran Drescher) decide to leave their Philadelphia home to a Malibu condo. Paula and Jim's two children are Jason (Danny Masterson), 26, and Becky (Maggie Lawson), 23. Jason and Becky are complete opposites. Becky is a bright, intelligent girl who wants to grab things by the horns. Becky works at a newspaper in Philly as a journalist. On the other hand, Jason never finished high school and is working at a friend's garage, as an mechanic. Jason and Becky decide to stay back in Pennsylvania, as their parents move to California. Jim and Paula meet their newlywed neighbors, Mark and Tara Shippman (Eric McCormack, Sarah Jessica Parker). Mark and Tara's optimistic personalities get on Paula and Jim's nerves. Paula and Jim become friends with their other neighbors, Patty and Rick Dawson (Laurie Metcalf, Ted McGinley). Rick and Patty's teenage daughter, Heather Dawson (Kaley Cuoco) becomes instantly attracted to her new neighbor, Jim Stone (Tim Allen) dispite the age difference.
