Which do you prefer? Id say dogs

I prefer dogs. They are much smarter and much more fun than cats.

I prefer dogs by far. Unfortunately my father can't stand them. We had to give away our dog that we had for 7 years in October of last year because she wasn't good around small children. We have three cats one outside and two inside.

Cats. I like dogs too but I'm not too fond of the dog smell. So I like my friends' dogs but if I had to have an animal live in my house, it would be a cat. I'm not really a pet person though. I sometimes have mice, and right now I have a gecko and some crickets but pets are not my thing. That's why the gecko is cool. They require little care and they're all sticky and fantastic. I'm a gecko person.

I love dogs. :)

But I am MYSTIFIED by cats. I WORSHIP them!!!!

I love cats, but I actually chose "both" on the poll. After I voted I realized I should've picked cats because the total was dogs 15 and cats 14 and it would've been a TIE if I picked cats!

Anyways, I have one cat of my own who is the best kitty in the world. I also volunteer at the humane society playing with the cats. I love dogs too except if I got a dog of my own after the first day i'd be sick of taking it for walks and outside at 2 am! Cats are so easy to take care of!

If you would've asked me that a couple years ago I would have said dogs, but now that we have a little yippy dog who does nothing but pee and poop on the floor and the rest of the time he barks and definitely wasn't worth spending $450.00 dollars on, I must say I would prefer a nice, cheap, low maintenance, QUIET cat.
Even though on the poll I voted neither, as I would rather not have any pet right now. But between the two I am definitely a cat person now.

i like both but id rather have a cat.

Small dogs(like the one we have) can be, and have been trained to go in litter-boxes(which was one of the arguments my wife gave me so she could get this dog). Especially if you get them as a puppy(which we did), but even older small dogs can be litter-box trained. Look it up!

I've had both. I currently have a cat, have had it for 3 years. I have to say they are probably easier to maintain. They are also quieter than a dog and won't wake you up barking in the middle of the night.

I've had two dogs, one when I was little and one that we had a couple of years and ran away(or got stolen) in 2001. Shortly after is when we got our cat we have now.
