Leaving on vacation in a few hours! Heading for the Great Smokey Mountains and the Cherokee Reservation. Will be visiting the Biltmore Estate with Lucky and her hubby on Friday--can't wait!

Keep my family's safety (and sanity, with my two kids LOL!) in your prayers, thanx mucho! Also say a prayer for safety and success for my other dark angel, who is also on the road for business this week--on the Indian reservation in North and South Dakota, ironically enough!

Well I am back and mariposa and her family met up with my hubby and I at the Biltmore estate in Asheville, NC and spent the day together there. The weather was wonderful and that place is AWESOME, even if it is rather expensive to tour. Then we all went back to my parent's house in Black Mountain and had a wonderful dinner prepared by my mom. It was a wonderful time. I always enjoy getting together with her. It is hard, cause we live like 7 hours away from each other.

Now I am going on another trip this week to meet another Freddie friend, Cheryl, on Thursday.... I know we will have a great time together.

Mariposa should be around on Wednesday. Prayers go out to her family for a safe trip home.

I'll be leaving myself for a trip to Atlantic City. I'll be back on Sunday. Lucky......... I hope you have a nice time with Cheryl!

To all....... I hope you have fun with the Chico Storyline. I have so much fun reading it and doing it of course.

Hi all! As Lucky said, it was a great time! In addition to the Biltmore with her and her hubby, my family did the Ripley Aquarium in Gatlinburg and Dollywood. We had to make trips through the National Park for those, as well as to hit the outlet stores hee hee! Got back about 2 hours ago.

Keep my other dark angel in your prayers--he is supposed to be returning from that business trip to ND today, but I have no idea what time to expect him. Flying terrifies me, for myself as well as for anyone close to me!

I had a GREAT time with Luckymama yesterday! She is really nice & it was nice visiting with her. I got to see some of her Freddie magazines & show her my Freddie scrapbook & some other Freddie stuff like my cardboard standup of him advertising the LOOKING GOOD album. We ate dinner at the local Mexican place closest to my house. As we were all sitting on the couch I could almost feel Freddie watching down from heaven & happy knowing he brought together people who love him. It was so much fun & we hope she'll come back again sometime when she gets a chance. Providing we didn't scare her off LOL! Glad she made it back home! She's just as nice in person as she is on the computer. :)

Cheryl, I had a marvelous time at your house. You and your hubby were such gracious hosts and I felt right at home with you both. I agree 100% about Freddie looking down. I felt that way every time I have met a Freddie fan. I had to call Mariposa on my way home to tell her how wonderful a time I had, and I told my hubby about you all and we might try to get together with you all again sometime. Thank you for allowing me the privilege of coming and meeting you in person.

BTW The pie was delicious. My hubby and I enjoyed it very much. I want the recipe sometime!

I won't be around much this weekend cause this is the annual trip to the river camping for our High School youth group at our church. Pray for them, the weather and my sanity! LOL

It sounds like you had a great time Cheryl and Lucky! I had a fun time too and now I'm back.

Mariposa...... One day I would like to see Dollywood. It sounds like such a fun place.

Even if you are not a fan of country music, Dollywood is full of fun stuff. They now have the tallest wooden rollercoaster, and for a long time have had a whitewater rafting ride, a real steam locomotive train and a carousel. There is a '50's "town" with a display of old cars, and a crafters' village that looks like a frontier town, as well as lots of nice restaurants and live shows. They are active in the conservative of bald eagles, so there are several in a zoo-like environment.

Since it is owned by Dolly Parton, of course there is a museum full of her dresses and guitars and movie posters, etc, as well as a replica of the cabin she grew up in. But you don't have to be interested in all that to enjoy this amusement park. (We have been there several times, but this year didn't get to the specifically Dolly-related stuff and still had a great time.)

IT IS A REAL GOAL OF MINE TO GET THE CHANCE TO MEET WITH YOU FELLOW FREDDIE FANS, WHEN I THINK OF ALL THE FUN AND LAUGHTER WE WOULD SHARE IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY, IT WILL HAPPEN I AM SURE, LOOK HOW FREDDIE HAS BROUGHT US ALTOGETHER THIS MUCH!

I would really enjoy that as well. Count me in on that experience.

Have you all made your annual trip to my neck of the woods yet (your sister-in-law's, I think it is)? If you come here during the state fair, maybe we could meet there? We have to be there on August 7 for my daughter's 4H photography judging. Does that fall into place with your plans?

I had a blast at Cheryls and hope to get to the upper mid west someday to see hue_mee, joy and macca. Just need the time and the money. Maybe oneday I can plan a trip south as well and see sfditusa and dani. We will have to see. I still think a convention is in order! LOL

We did take picts, Jennylee, but for security purposes, I would like to post them in the member section of either or both hue_mee's and Joy's sites on MSN. I have to get to downloading them from my camera first. I know Cheryl has some on her camera as well.
