I am sorry to say, that I was a little disappointed with this episode.
Usually I am really focused in on the whole show, but for some reason my interest just wasn't there for this one.
Usually Monk has those little funny remarks between him and Sharona, but there was none of that, no memorable comments. Nothing that made me laugh.
Anyone else feel this way? Or am I alone on this one.

I thought it was funny. When Monk went on his date I was laughing out loud.

I thought the part where he called his date up, and had all the cards out on the table was funny. But I felt that the writers were so caught up in trying to make the date funny, that I lost track of what was really happening with the whodunit.

Jrnygrl,
Funny thing -- "Mr Monk And The Blackout" seems to have won back a number of fans which "Mr. Monk Takes Manhattan" & "Mr. Monk And The Panic Room" had lost. It was the back-on-track episode. From what I've seen, the general reaction to "Blackout" seemed to be: "Now THIS is more like it! THIS is the Monk we know and love!"
And, you didn't like it. It just goes to show -- you can't please everyone. It must be *awfully* difficult to be a writer for this show.
Later,
