I've been meaning to post this all week.

Has anyone caught the new Behind The Music on VH1 about GNR?
It premiered over the 4th of July weekend.

I liked it. It really brought back some memories. Such a shame that band self destructed.

Anyone else catch it yet?

;)

I wanted to see it, but ended up only seeing the last 20 minutes.

I am shocked they don't hold the Use Your Illusion albums more fondly, to me those 2 albums are masterpieces

Does anyone else think they could have filled more than an hour with the history of GNR? I wish they did a bit more on Axl and his "new" version of the band.

They said the long awaited new album "Chinese Democracy" will finally be out later this year. Do you think it's going to happen?

 Promises, promises...And if it does, does Axl think people are gonna care? They seem to be more interested in Velvet Revolver, apparently.

One word: 'Flop'.

Guns N' Roses is over. The only peice of GNR that remains is located in my heart. Axl needs to stop trying. He's not going to get anywhere.

regardless, I bet money it will debut at #1 on the album chart. Even if it's not the original (or hell, anyone BUT Axl) lineup, the fact that it finally comes out will definately get so many people to buy it. It is one of the most anticipated albums in history, people are ready for Guns N Roses to return, even if it's just Axl.

Now I don't think it'll sell anywhere what Appetite or Use Your Illusion did, but I do think it'll definately sell a ton considering people have been waiting for a decade for new GNR product

Exactly! Guys like Axl don't get it, what the fans want is the original and that will never happen. Slash said no matter how much money they put out there, and these guys could ask for anything, the original band as it was known will never get back together.

I always liked Slash, but after watching this show, I really think he is one of the best guitarist out there, and a really cool guy. I hope Velvet Revolver works for him and the rest of the band, I have the CD and so far they sound good.

Let's hope Scott Wyland can stay clean and sober. That's no easy task, considering his track record.

I was listening to VR on the Howard Stern show, and it seemed that they are committed. Like Slash said on BTM he has been given a second shot at this and he wants it to work. I think because they all have been down the substance abuse road before they have the support among themselves to not let that get in their way.
