View Full Version : I received something unusual in the mail today. I need someone to help me
TVFactFan 07-09-2004, 03:29 PM I came home from work today and there was a priority enevelope in my box from Neilsen TV Ratings. I opened the enevelope and inside was $10.00 and a Neilsen TV Ratings questionarre for me to fill out and send back. Then on the back of the questionare, it said once they received my completed questionarre form they will send me an additional $20.00.lol Did anyone ever received anything like this before? I didn't send away for any of this. This is so crazy.lol
Sterling Holobyte 07-09-2004, 04:29 PM I did a few years ago. But I only got $5 in crisp one dollar bills and there wasn't a promise of more when I returned it.
I put it away in a drawer and forgot about it for a couple years, then I came across it again but since I(still) didn't want to fill it out , I sent those still crisp one dollar bills back to them, even though it said on the letter that I didn't have to.
I'm such a good boy!

Why did you send it back? It's not like you stole the money. Plus it was only $5.00
*Bela Lugosi* 07-09-2004, 04:48 PM Is there any way I can get $10.00?

Have you signed up for something on the internet or some magazine about Television? I signed up for a free internet trial of "Broadcasting and Cable" and a few months later got something from them wanting me to subscribe to the magazine.

dawsongirl 07-09-2004, 11:32 PM I want $10! Where's my Neilsen package? :(
Janice 07-10-2004, 02:13 AM I seen to recall that Czas (Chris) participated in the Neilsen ratings and that it was a huge pain in the neck.
Keep the 10 spot and do nothing else. :D
ABlairican Pie 07-11-2004, 01:37 AM I did that thing with the Nielsen ratings thing and I remember they sent me a quarter.....This was in 1977.

I know, I'm such a dummy.:D
I know they sent it to me , but I just didn't feel right about keeping it when I knew I wasn't going to participate.
I'm not suggesting that you send yours back, BTW, it was just personal matter for me.
G-Force Glockstar 07-11-2004, 02:13 AM I have no idea, lol, sorry!
