Then i'm saying to myself, look i can be web surfing instead of holding the phone listening to you breath. Or sometimes somebody may call and they know they are tired but still calls and falling asleep. Then i usually say, what the hell did you call me for if you was tired?

I hate when people talk on the phone for hours and hours about stupid stuff. I put the phone down  Really. And when they live 10 minutes messages on your awnsering machine :o

Learn to cut it short with a simple phrase like, "Is that all?" or "Are you done?" Works like a charm for me. However, if you've tried every trick in the book, I suggest changing your number or...getting new friends.

People do that all the time. I'd like to punch them, please.

My brother does that! After a few Q/A he runs out of what to say and just sits there with nothing else to say but 'OMG', 'Pues si', 'What's new' ,it just makes me:rolleyes: . I tell him that my children need me for something and that I gotta go. Even when he comes to visit is the same thin'; he just likes to aggravate the heck out of my daughters when they don't want to be messed with

I hate that! And it's usually the most annoying people too, like, my sister. My family finally got caller id so I can decide whether to pick up the phone or tell my mom to say I'm in the shower.

Now THAT, I hate. A have a few aunts who do that. I usually sit there and eat dinner or something while listening to them. God knows, I'm done eating by the time they're through :o

 This is why I hate calling people or having people call me. I don't mind if you have something to say. If you have a 30 min story to tell, I'll listen, but if all you called to say was, "Hey...so...what's up?" and then the rest of the convo is Yeah...so...um...Oy...hang up then!

So does mine. It always cuts my aunt off, usually before she gets to the point of why she called in the first place.

I knew a girl back in Middle School who would call me on the phone and say Hi! Then she wouldn't say anything - I'd have to lead the rest of the conversation. She was bizzare:rolleyes:

Here are some messages to put on your answering machine to solve those problems. :D

1. "If you need me, don't ask!"

2. "If you want to leave a message, you'll have to send me $20 first!"

3. "If you're one of my relatives, and your calling so say "Hi," please don't!"

4. "If you need money, don't ask me."

5. "I can't help you find a job."

6. "Shhhh! Springers on!"

7. "Go get yourself a life instead of calling me every 20 minutes!"

8. "No I'm sorry, This isn't the Hung Chow Foo, dining and carry-out restaurant!"

9. "OK, I'll baby-sit your kids, only if they promise to NOT overflow the toilet this time!"

10. "I'm sorry, I don't remember hitting your dog with my BMW."

Oh I'd LOVE to do that  but seriously, that's why I didn't give any of my relatives my cell phone numbers.

So wait, are all of you saying people actually call you? Gee, I wonder what that's like. ;)

Seriously though, I did have a friend who would call me up and talk about the TV show "Angel." I was never an Angel fan, and this guy would litterally talk about an episode for 2 hours. I would try to add something to the conversation and he'd cut me off and go back to his Angel talk. That was back in 2000. Now I never get any phone calls.

That sounds like if someone askes me-"have you ever seen the movie-??? and i say no, and then the person starts talking about it. Then i'm respond and say-I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT!
